"The feathers are my own creation. See, I considered just doing raven feathers, but I thought showing up in the same thing you'd be wearing might be embarassing, or even rude. I tried a few combinations of things, but I just ended up looking like a peacock. So I blended some things--you can see, here, the rachis of the feather is fairly sturdy, that comes from a raven, but the actual vane itself is of my own design--it's supposed to catch the light and sparkle a little bit. A Stanton original."
