I11DT - Care and feeding

As soon as she'd gotten Nailah back inside her flat, Samantha shut the door tight and knelt down next to the sphinx, putting an arm around her.

"...I'm so glad you're back," she murmured.

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah gently puts a paw around her. "Bastard got lucky our people got to me before I got him." she smiles weakly.

"I'm sorry I worried you..."

[Samantha McManus]

"Should've known you could take care of yourself," she sighed, her hair still wet from her search efforts.

"Love, if you wanted to grow your hair out, you could have just said," she joked weakly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Don't ever let that keep you from trying to save me..." she mumbles, burying her face against Sams head.

[Samantha McManus]

Samantha let out a long breath, leaning against her presently much larger girlfriend.

"...never, love. You know that. Couldn't even if I tried..."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Though I have to admit this has felt rather... empowering in a strange way."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well you look like you probably would have done a number on him, aye?" She chuckled faintly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Instead I did a number on Miss Kaltiera. And Rhino, but I don't regret that one too much..."

[Samantha McManus]

"...didn't look like she was holding much of a grudge."

"Mister Anderson, however..."

[Nailah Weaver]

"He's thoroughly terrified of me now. Even more than before. I might have gotten a little... rude when they crammed me into the holding cell on the jet."

"...I can imagine," she snorted. "And when I imagine, that is a rather fanciful image."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'll have to apologize when I'm less monstrous. If that shot works..."

[Samantha McManus]

"If it doesn't, we'll figure it out. We already know most of the agents he was using."

"Meantime... well, we can get something delivered, aye?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'm sure. I've just been slowly losing the enthusiasm that fog gave me about turning into this. Now I'm remembering a much younger, much more scared me, dreading this was where she was headed."

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye. Never was an option to leave you as you are, love. We'll save that for in here," She smiled faintly and tapped at Nailah's forehead.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Now I'm wondering if that was prophetic." she chuckles. "Still, I can't deny that it maybe it wasn't all just the fog."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well I think you know by now that not much of this sort can really shock a shapeshifter, aye?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh I know. If anything I can understand how you feel so much better now..." she smiles crookedly. "You should have seen me kill that deer."

[Samantha McManus]

"Deer's good... for beginners," she teased.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh can it." she laughs faintly. "Not everyone can hunt electric weasels."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well clearly, the bastard should have stocked a higher class of game for you," she chuckled into Nailah's shoulder.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I ate that deer for breakfast. And I really wish that was just an euphemism."

[Samantha McManus]

She looked up over the sphinx, as well as how far behind her wayward lover extended. Her nostrils flared for a moment.

"...no, I rather think I can see how literal that was."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I don't think I'm quite going to fit in the shower..."

[Samantha McManus]

"There is a comment about cats here that I shan't make."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Thank you for letting me keep a small shred of dignity." she chuckles weakly.

[Samantha McManus]

"You've plenty of dignity, even like this. If anything, you look more regal."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I still feel like I could use a long soak."

[Samantha McManus]

"I could get part of the spa at the recreation center closed off, if you really want."

[Nailah Weaver]

"You know, if there ever was a time to abuse your authority this is it."

[Samantha McManus]

"Somehow I doubt anyone's going to object," she chuckles.
