She set the bag down, "Just for that, you get to unpack it while I grab the beer."

"I notice that's not a denial," she says as she rummages through the bag and sets the food out.

"I can neither confirm nor deny your allegations," she said with her head in the refrigerator. "Hrm, this should do well," she pulled out a couple of bottles and brought them back with her.

"So logically, I get a head start," she says, portioning some out for herself.

Allison popped the tops on both the bottles and passed one to Dee before working on her own food. "You know, as much as I disliked the fairy nonsense, I could have handled some more minotaur punching."

"You seemed to have a flair for it."

[Allison Rogers]

"I'll have to see if they're programmed into the Danger Room. Might be useful for taking out some stress."

"Less lawsuits than looking for Greek blokes in a pub."

[Allison Rogers]

"Yeah," she said. "And, of course, I'll have to invite you along."

"The last time I agreed to that, you launched me into a bog."

"No watering holes this time, I promise," she said with a smirk.

"Just incentive to be creative."

[Allison Rogers]

"You or me?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Yes."

[Allison Rogers]

"Tricksy."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Have to be. You've been keeping me on my toes."

[Allison Rogers]

"You've liked some of it though."

"Oh, you'll have to try harder than that to be rid of me."

"So what you're saying is that if I don't want to be rid of you I can just coast now."

"I'm saying I can keep going on spite indefinitely," she smirks.

"Noted," Allison said, scrutinizing her.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'm not certain I like that look."

[Allison Rogers]

"Just wondering where the spite engine is amongst the rest of your mechanical workings."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Trade secret, I'm afraid."

[Allison Rogers]

"Said like a spook."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Hard habit to get out of."

[Allison Rogers]

"Just want to ask, other than inadvertently getting involved in magical bullshit, no major faux pas on my part?"

"Oh please, as if you had anything to do with it."

[Allison Rogers]

Allison shrugged, "One still apologizes for accidentally tracking mud in the house."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"It's just odd seeing you all contrite," she smirks.

[Allison Rogers]

"A few more beers and I'll be back to brash loudmouth."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Reassuring, that." She grins, uncapping one.
