Allison's Apartment - Been The Strong One

[Allison Rogers]

"I lost King Kong's number a few years ago," Allison quipped. "I mean, if that's your preference, I can certainly arrange a kidnapping."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"My poor drapes wouldn't survive, would they?"

[Allison Rogers]

"You're assuming it would come from the window," she said, grinning with her extra pointy teeth.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ah yes, the cat is out to play tonight," she chuckles, rubbing Allison's neck.

[Allison Rogers]

The neck rub made Allison relax noticeably, "At least you know how to deal with the cat."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"The cat's starting to grow on me a bit. I might keep her."

[Allison Rogers]

"Even though she's just some stray who wandered up looking pitiful?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"It was all over after I started feeding her."

[Allison Rogers]

"True," Allison said, leaning against Dee. "So... do you want the drawer, or should we push the conversation up a level?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Should we? It may involve pointed questions as to whether you're a blanket tyrant."

[Allison Rogers]

"I'm cool with bumping it up a level if you are, you may ask your pointed questions."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I suppose we have gotten... rather comfortable, eh?"

[Allison Rogers]

"You haven't given me the boot yet. And you've saved my life a few times, there's no one else on campus I'm more comfortable with."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"And I'm not going to wake up in the middle of a cold November night to find the duvet spooled around you, am I?"

[Allison Rogers]

"I don't think so, but I'm sure if you do, you can devise some clever gadget to keep the blanket in place."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ah yes, bedroom clamps for my girlfriend. I'm sure no one would bat an eye at that," she smirks.

[Allison Rogers]

"They wouldn't dare."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"So what are the odds of me getting sleep-mauled because you're dreaming of chasing gazelles?"

[Allison Rogers]

"Unlikely," she said, "Though you might wake up to a giant cat in the bed sometimes."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"So you sleep in the buff, and occasionally in something buff-coloured."

[Allison Rogers]

"I started doing the former after the latter happened a few times."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ah well. When in Rome."

[Allison Rogers]

"That's certainly something I would have no objection to."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'll be next to an ambulatory space heater. It'll work out."

[Allison Rogers]

"I see how it is, you just want me for my warmth."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"And you just want me for my motorcycle maintenance."

[Allison Rogers]

"Well, so long as we're clear on those points," she said with a chuckle. She smiled, "All teasing aside, I do like the idea of waking up next to you."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I tend to think it'll be pleasant as well. Whatever you're wearing."

[Allison Rogers]

"So you want that drawer or should I clear more space?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Give it a few test runs?"

"Besides, you know most of my real goodies are in my workshop."

[Allison Rogers]

"Sounds good to me," Allison said, getting up to close the door properly. "Test run number 1?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Who am I to argue with the sharp-toothed lady blocking the only exit?" She grins.

[Allison Rogers]

"Like the sharp-toothed lady could stop you."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Well it would be interesting to see you try."

[Allison Rogers]

"But not all that interesting," she says, moving to pull Dee to her feet.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"You're lucky I'm almost finished this beer," she chuckles, downing the last of it and setting the bottle down.

[Allison Rogers]

"Lucky is something I definitely am," Allison said, dragging Dee towards the bedroom.
