Allison's flat- Waking up in the lion's den

[Deirdre Quinn]

Dee muzzily blinks as the first rays of sunlight filter into the bedroom. A faint, almost goofy smile crosses her lips as she starts to recall the events of the prior night. Slowly she rolls over beneath the covers towards her new bunkmate.

True to her word, she's dressed in the local fashion.

[Allison Rogers]

Allison stirred slightly, obviously not much of a morning person. Then who was next to her seemed to crack through the brain fuzz, "Morning."

"Seems I got the lady, not the tiger," she murmurs quietly.

[Allison Rogers]

"I hated that story in high school. And I haven't slept that well in years."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ah, and here I was afraid I was dreadfully rusty."

[Allison Rogers]

"If you were I didn't notice, maybe because I was just as rusty." She snuggled close to Dee. Allison was apparently a cuddler.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Then if we managed to synchronize our dry spells, I suppose that works out," she smiles, reaching around to run her fingers through Allison's mussed hair.

[Allison Rogers]

Allison purred, "I like it when things work out. Busy day ahead of you?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'm sure Stanton is looking for me everywhere."

"Of course, this is probably a decent place to hide."

[Allison Rogers]

"You're welcome to hide here as long as you want. I might even be persuaded to cook breakfast."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ah, count on the lawyer to properly incentivize me."

[Allison Rogers]

"Bacon or sausage?" She asked, extracting herself from both Dee and the blankets to hunt for a robe.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'm British. The answer is generally 'yes.'"

[Allison Rogers]

"Noted," Allison said, fishing a robe out of her closet. "There's another one in here when the smell of breakfast lures you out," she chuckled.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"So I don't rate breakfast in bed yet. That's... fair," she smirks.

[Allison Rogers]

"It's not a matter of rate," Allison said, coming back over to plant a kiss on Dee's lips.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I've got to have goals," she chuckles after the kiss, slipping from bed and going to put on the other robe.

[Allison Rogers]

"Maybe it can be something to shoot for then," Allison said before making her way to the kitchen.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Otherwise if we knock all the easy ones out right off the bat, they become increasingly outlandish," she says, fastening the robe and going to follow.

[Allison Rogers]

"And if there's one thing we can't possibly be, it's outlandish."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"You just have to build to it," she chuckles.

[Allison Rogers]

"That requires a certain level of patience on my part," Allison said, working on scrambled eggs in one pan and the aforementioned bacon and sausage in the other.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Oh, don't tell me you're impatient now."

[Allison Rogers]

"Yes, I'm afraid," she said. "The dam has burst. My patience is done." She grinned over her shoulder at Dee.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"So I've doomed myself to Calvin and Hobbes scenes."

[Allison Rogers]

"You doomed yourself to that way earlier than last night. You'll think you're safe one day and then pow, and power armor boots go flying in the air."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'll have to keep a laser pointer on me."

[Allison Rogers]

"You're fiendish," she said. "Crispy bacon or a little on the soft side?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Crispy sounds good to go with the eggs."

[Allison Rogers]

"The things you learn when you cook breakfast for someone," Allison says. "So, Doctor, I take it this test run was a success," she teased.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I may need to gather more data."

[Allison Rogers]

"I could see reasons for repeating the experiment," Allison said with a nod, serving up breakfast.
