"What? Where?" she looks around, not looking at the dancers because, well, for some reason she expects her to be trapped here just like them, not part of the puppets. Because that's what they are. Realistic puppets. Yes. Very, very realistic puppets.

Nailah just followed her, though it's hard to tell if it is because she brought up the courage to or if she just didn't manage to make herself let go of Sam's arm.

As the two women near the dance floor, they notice that, aside from Miss Vasquez, the faces of the dancers are wrong. Their eyes and lips are sewn shut and their skin is deathly pale.

She nervously wound her way through the group, trying not to look, and occasionally failing in that.

"Wh-what happened to them?" she presses out, gingerly making her way after Sam, twisting to try and keep as much distance as possible between herself and the dancers while also keeping up with Sam.

Nailah winces as the music starts, bumping into one of the dancers in the process and immediately jerking away from that and freezing up.

Nailah somehow manages to keep herself from starting to hyperventilate as the dancer moves. She's shaking and ever so slowly tries to move away from it, inching towards Sam. She's not looking at me. She's not looking at me. She's not looking at me.

She's not looking at anybody, her eyes are sewn shut. She almost bursts out laughing hysterically at which point she'd probably lose it entirely but she somehow manages to fight the panic-induced laughter down.

After what feels like ages her hand closes around Sam's and she lets out half a stuttering breath of relief half a faint whimper.

And of course Sam wasn't doing too well herself, blood down the front of her dress and a bit on the hand that had been holding the glass as she turned back towards Altamira, gritting her teeth and trying to hold her courage.

There is another screech of needle on vinyl. All dancers turn, then similarly begin hunting with their ears.

The dancers, in spite of their immobile, sewn lips, screech as well. They jerk to life and begin erratically lurching after the women, clawing and grabbing at them

"Ohgod, ohgod, ohgod!" Nailah stumbles after Sam, twisting this way or the other trying to dodge the flailing hands of the dancers, tears running down her face at the mass of mutilated faces around her.

Samantha shuddered as she was grasped and clawed at, her hair tumbling down as it was pulled free. Gritting her teeth she forced herself to keep going.

Their hands are the cold flesh of corpses. The kitchen door is close now.

The sound of Nailah's voice draws the creatures attention on her and they try to crowd her.
