"Why don't you hang on to it then." she says, somewhat glad to have someone to pawn the strange key off to. The fact that it might have been intended for her and they way it turned up being just a tad too unsettling.

[Steve Jones]

"Alright..." he shrugged, "Kinda creepy though."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well you seem to know more about that than me."

[Steve Jones]

"I've been here longer," he said, sighing, "I just want to go home."

[Nailah Weaver]

"That sounds like something you should bring up with your parents."

[Steve Jones]

He regarded her with a strange, inwardly thoughtful look. Had he tried asking his parents to take him away from here? He couldn't remember doing it. But why hadn't he? This was a place he both hated and feared. So... why?

[Nailah Weaver]

"How long have you been here?"

[Steve Jones]

"I..."

A looked of horrible realization crossed his face.

"I don't know..."

[Nailah Weaver]

"When I came here I could have sworn Miss McManus was leaving. She had her baggage with her and everything. Now she's acting like she just arrived the same day I... did..."

"What is going on here?"

[Steve Jones]

"...something terrible."

[Nailah Weaver]

Suddenly the otherwise empty room seems stuffy and oppressive. The stick of ash from her mostly unsmoked cigarette sizzles and falls off.

"I... I need to get some air."

[Steve Jones]

"Be careful," he said.
