by Kara Vanderbilt
Name: Kara Vanderbilt
Codename: TBD
Age: 20
Hometown: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Powers:
Kara can project two ribbons of kinetic energy that extend up to ten yards and can act either as whips or like a focused concussive blast. The ribbons seem to extend out from her arms or hands and are present even if she's not actively projecting them, coiled around her forearms. The ribbons are tangible but highly resistant to damage.

Personality:
Kara is very energetic, a little brash at times with bit of a wild streak. She can be a bit overbearing at times but she's generally easy to get along with. She has trouble sitting still for too long and she's often fidgeting with something.

Description:
Kara usually has her hair styled in some kind of wild mess. She usually wears a brightly colored motorcycle jacket that's decorated with various patches and pins.

Background:
Kara had it made. Or so you would have thought looking at her parents who own a huge shipping business. But even before her mutation set in there were frictions. As an only child expectations were high for her and when she dropped out of school to "make it" with her band her parents threatened to kick her out of the house. Her mutation manifested during the ensuing shouting match and thoroughly wrecked the living room. That's when her parents send her to an expensive boarding school to set her straight and also keep her mutation from becoming public knowledge.

She spend her time there rebelling against the establishment every chance she got though she somehow managed to finish high school. Afterwards her parents had finally gotten to the conclusion that they wanted nothing to do with their freak of a daughter and disowned her. Kara spend a year just messing around, trying a bunch of things and joining a couple different bands that all didn't work out for some reason. Now she's caught wind of Xaviers and the possibility of becoming a super-hero as a career path and for the first time in her life she actually felt motivated to really work towards something.
