Power: Gemma's powers are tied to her ability to shapeshift into a winged, magma-based, four-legged draconic form that is somewhere between the size of a pony and a horse. This form imparts a high degree of resilience, strength, and can stall fatigue. The wings allow her to fly, but being molten rock makes her very clumsy.

Gemma's alternate form imparts a limited degree of pyrokinesis. While this typically takes the form of fire or magma breath, Gemma has been able to ignite fires from any part of her body. She hasn't exhibited any ability to control the flame once she expels it.

Even in her human form, Gemma is highly resistant to heat. In one incident, Gemma shrugged off a direct hit from a flame thrower. This incident forced an immediate shift to her dragon form though and enraged her, requiring X-Corp intervention to capture her.

X-Corp testing has shown that her X-Gene's "elemental matrix" is only temporarily stabilized and that the magma dragon may not be the only elemental form to which she ultimately has access.

Personality: Gemma is, oddly enough, a packrat and occasional kleptomaniac. She's friendly enough an honestly doesn't realize what she's doing when she picks something up. Frequently she doesn't even remember she did it.

Description: Gemma tends to wears natural fibers and certainly nothing that would "melt" on contact with heat, not out of any concern for herself, but anyone that has to deal with the mess. Her hair is a fiery orange, which seems to be its natural color.

Background: Gemma had a relatively normal life in Cardiff until her powers emerged. At first her parents moved away from the city to try and hide their daughter, but her mutation made that virtually impossible. This led to a serious run-in with some human supremacists who decided to "burn the mutie." This proved to be a horrible idea and Gemma severely injured several of them before they could flee. X-Corp intervened and captured Gemma.

With such a volatile mutation, Gemma was relegated to Muir for training and treatment. Now she's been released to attend University at Xavier's where X-Corp hopes her outlook will continue to improve.
