Mister monkey shrieked and climbed to the parrot that was napping. He nudged the bird awake and began hopping up and down in place. The bird focused on the two women now.

"The last time she had a hold of that thread she turned the city into this. That connection is the edge. If she gets a hold of it again I don't know what will happen." she says, sounding kind of helpless.

"Theresa, you have to calm down, okay?" she says, helping her up, but at the same time holding on to her arm in case she decides she has to restrain her.
