Grounded Surveillance

[Miranda Weaver]

Miranda sat cross-legged on top of the hideout, the arm with the injured shoulder in a sling to take the weight off the shoulder. Her wings had reverted to their usual rainbow plumage. The cast of her face indicated that her vision wasn't on the roof, but somewhere far away.

[Jennifer Newgate]

Jennifer steps onto the roof, leaning against the doorframe and waiting when she notices Miranda isn't all the way there.

[Miranda Weaver]

"My ears are still here," she says quietly, turning her head slightly. "Everything alright inside?"

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Yeah. Didn't wanna bug you in case you were distracted. Your mysterious savior showed up in my dreams tonight."

[Miranda Weaver]

"She's getting around," Miranda said with a frown, twisting her head in the other direction. "What's your impression of her?"

[Jennifer Newgate]

"I don't know. She said she has a plan for making things better, but she's hella in love with being cryptic as fuck about everything."

[Miranda Weaver]

"Does her plan involve world domination or even just London domination?" She leaned forward slightly as if she was peering at something right in front of her.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"What she talked about sounded reasonable and she did save you. She also claimed to have taken care of some warlords." she shrugs.

[Miranda Weaver]

"Should be possible to verify that," she said, tilting her head. "Found our dragon. She's currently perched on a rubble pile sitting next to a... really filthy, skittish archer."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Should we go out and meet them?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"Probably a good idea. They say they're looking for me, or the Seer at any rate. I can stay here with Theresa."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Are Brigid and Vertie back yet?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"I don't know. Let me check," Miranda said, extending her mind in the other direction, looking to see if she could get a sense of where Brigid and Vertie might be.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid is, at this moment, bounding across treetops on her way back to base.

[Miranda Weaver]

"Brigid's on her way back right now. She should be here shortly."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"I'll wait for her then. If this is not our friendly neighborhood dragon I'd rather have her along."

[Miranda Weaver]

"So far so good," she said. "They're obeying my instructions. I really wish I could read dragon lips."

[Vertie Easley]

Vertie was a little slower, pausing to chat with various vermin and "scouts" but not too far behind.

[Miranda Weaver]

"I'm sensing Vertie too, but she's making the rounds, so I don't know if she'll be back as soon as Brigid will be."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Your range is ridiculous, just fyi." she chuckles and shakes her head as she heads back inside to get ready.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid lands heavily on the roof, a number of bows and quivers slung over her, and a sword strapped to her back.

"Cleanup's done."

[Miranda Weaver]

"Good, thank you," she said, holding her hands in Brigid's general direction. "We've found our dragon."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Then we'll need these," she says, unloading. "The elves won't miss them."

"Figured you'd want this back too," she says as she passes the sword pommel-first to Miranda.

[Miranda Weaver]

Miranda wraps her hand confidently around the hilt, bringing the sword back and resting it across her lap. "Jenn is getting ready to go meet the dragon and her escorts. I'll stay here with Theresa."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Since when have dragons needed escorts?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"I don't know. They claim they're just looking for information. It's hard to get a proper sense of them at this range though. I can only go by what I can see."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Gonna go out on a limb and say that the dragon's the one doing the escorting." Jenn says, emerging from the door again. "At least I would worry less about a group that doesn't consider the dragon their weakest member."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well, take your pick. It's not rifle ammo, but it's what we've got."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"I should probably learn how to use one of those eventually..." she grumbles.

[Miranda Weaver]

"Be careful. I warned the archer that I could make things unpleasant, but he's really jumpy."

[Vertie Easley]

"Who's jumpy?" Vertie and her tiger appeared and she began to untie the bundle's of goods from the large feline and herself.

[Brigid Plunder]

"The dragon's got friends."

[Vertie Easley]

"Oh joy."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Might be fun, but I've a feeling 'Randa already made it boring."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"You could always pick a fight with them for the hell of it."

[Vertie Easley]

"If they are friendly. Sparing against a Dragon might really be fun." She stretched and the tiger laid down with a chuff. "Cinta will stay with you and Theresa. Ready when you are, Jen?"

[Miranda Weaver]

"If you want to get toasted, be my guest. I'll apologize to your spirit for trying to make things 'boring'," Miranda said with a smirk.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Yeah, I'm good to go."
