The Hills are Alive

[Narrator]

Maldon.

What had once been a proud institution of learning and a sanctuary from the horrors of the outside world was now overgrown with weeds, vines and various other overgrowth. Whenever someone attempted to cut through it to scavenge some of the technology or supplies that would have been stored inside the university, the vines tended to grow out and reinforce the weak points within minutes.

None who had entered had ever returned; not for many, many years, at least.

There was no easy point of entrance from the outside--even the cliffs, overlooking the ocean, were covered in thorny vines brambles that seemed resistant to any effort to cut through them.

On certain nights, when the wind was blowing just right, however, people living in the slum that was once Maldon could swear they heard...
