Haley did a spit take with her water, and she stared at Sid, mortified. The table practically vibrated as her face turned multiple shades of red and she started to lose her grip on her tk.

Haley looked around frantically as the two argued, feeling completely panicked and just wanting to escape the situation. She could tell that the argument was drawing the attention of the other people in the restaurant and their mental chatter was starting to get overwhelming. She shoved her chair away from the table, the motion punctuated by all of the water glasses at the table shattering and practically bolted towards the door of the place, tears welling up in her eyes.

Roland swore in a language that likely hadn't been heard in London for a very long time indeed, and slumped back in his chair.

After a minute, he grabbed Haley's sandwich and took a bite, pondering.
