Hellfire Club - Socialites

Located on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. The low-income borough of Lambeth has been largely taken over by London's mutant population and is now known as Mutant Town.

"If zat happens, I'm sure sings will work zemselfs out regardless. Zose zat know you fully know zat you would not be a supporter, non?" She smiles genuinely this time, doing a curtsy as he bowed. "I would be honored." Veronica answers, offering him her hand with no second thought.

"I'm more worried about what ignorant people they could win over by my apparent support. But we'll deal with that later." He smiled and took her hand, took just a moment to find the first step in the song, then began to lead the dance. He kept things simple, not knowing her dancing knowledge, but he was a strong lead, so he could work with whatever she did.

She wasn't amazing at it, but she knew to follow his lead with the steps. This being said, it didn't seem she'd step on his toes or anything anytime soon. Ryan may notice her attention was somewhat distracted, but she kept up a smile. "Zey truly did well setting all zis up. Eet is gorgeous." Veronica murmured to him.

"Well, they've got the practice," he said. He considered her a few minutes, making sure they were a little farther into the floor before he continued. "What's on your mind?" he asked quietly.

Veronica shakes her head. "Just old memories. My faser used to bring my moser and I to parties like zis. For his business. I would always do what I could to sneak some extra zee hors d'oeuvres." She chuckles to herself. "Moser always would catch me and yell. 'Ma petite cochon!'," She says, mocking her mother's voice. "My little piglet."

Ryan made a face at that little choice nickname. "Well," he said, mock-thoughtfully, "What do you say we do what we can to make this as much not like that as we can?"

"And dangerous," he said, glancing around. "But I'd hope that coming with me is at least more interesting that being brought by your father," he added with a sly smile.

He grinned back at her, taking a step to dance closer to her. "And at least they have real dancing. Hard to find these days."

"And what business are you in?" John asked with genuine interest.

Bear nodded, she had heard of the Nest in passing at the school.

"Very nice. John and I might need to drop into one of your clubs, take in the atmosphere." She said, sincerely.

"First introduction, and I'm already starting to regret this." She said, glancing back at Yui.

He cleaned up very well--quite dapper actually--but was clearly out of his element.

"You likely would have received one even if we hadn't decided to extend an olive branch to your school. Or maybe we invited them so your invitation wouldn't stand out as much. Either way I wanted to introduce you to some people, see if you're interested in their company and how much you take after your sister." she says after politely nodding at Anika.
