[Veronica Glarette]

"Again, I apologize you got caught up in eet all. I was not sinking as I should have been, and for zat, you ended up getting hurt."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan laughed at that. "OK, let's get one thing clear. Guy like that, if he touched me? It's because I had a reason to want him to. So don't blame yourself for a choice I made."

[Veronica Glarette]

She shakes her head with a soft chuckle. "I still do not like zee fact you got hurt," She said, looking out across London's night scene with a smile. "Zis reminds me off when we first met."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I'm just glad you didn't get mad at me," he admitted. "And... yeah. I'll take wings over a rooftop any day, but... well, I wish I could have shown you this that night."

[Veronica Glarette]

"I do not see how I would be angry wis you for defending yourself against a pathetic coward," she replied. "And as far as showing me zis zat night? You showed me many sings zen zat I have cherished deeply since eet happened. And most off zem are not physical like zis," Veronica said, motioning out at the city. "You showed me kindness, compassion, strengs, and most off all, hope. I would not wish for anysing else to have happened. Eet was exactly what I needed zen."

Ryan smirked. "Don't give me an excuse to stop wishing I could have done more. It's what makes me keep trying every day," he half-joked.

[Veronica Glarette]

She laughed, then looked a bit more serious at his wounds. "Hm, eet is starting to swell more. We should get ice on zis soon."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan would have protested that he was fine, but... well, he didn't really want to. "We will. As soon as we get back. Just tell me if you get too cold, okay?" And as he said it, they angled more to the north, picking up speed.

[Veronica Glarette]

She nodded and tugged the jacket a little tighter around herself as they flew, gazing out over the city. "Eet really is a surreal feeling, being up here. So often I dreamed off being able to fly free. To finally be able to experience eet is truly mesmerizing." It was likely that she wasn't speaking literally, but the act of flying in itself was like the rug really pulling the room together.

Ryan nodded at that. "That's what made me take cross country flights a lot when I was younger. Those were some really good times," he said, sighing a little. Things were so simple back then.

[Veronica Glarette]

"Where all did you visit?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Lost track. I stopped wherever people asked me to, really. Otherwise I'd just camp out a lot along the way if there wasn't a town in sight."

[Veronica Glarette]

"What is camping like?" She asked curiously.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Depends on where. But as long as you have a good tent and sleeping bag... It's quiet. Peaceful. There's no people, no cars if you do it right. Just you and the world."

[Veronica Glarette]

"Eet sounds extremely relaxing. Are zere places to camp around here?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"There are. We could try it if you wanted," he said, smiling a bit. "Not sure how much longer it'll be warm enough for it, though."

[Veronica Glarette]

"I am in no rush, but I would love to try eet one day," She said with a smile back.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I'll see what we can set up. Right now, I think we have an appointment with some ice." He had to admit it... his head was starting to throb.

[Veronica Glarette]

Veronica gave a nod, looking a bit concerned. Now he had a head injury on top of the whole priest light thing. "Off course. I can get eet all togeser unless you want to go to zee clinic instead?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I suppose it doesn't say much about me that I've been beaten enough times to know that it's not THAT bad?" he said with a faint smile.

[Veronica Glarette]

She chuckled softly. "Alright. I trust in your word. But we should definitely get it iced soon."
