[Henry Hereford]

He takes a deep breath and lets it out quickly. "Yes. That guy had quite the punch for looking like an 80 year-old."

"Shapeshifters, appearances, I suppose you know how that goes."

"I do realize that I'm the new girl and don't know all the secret handshakes, but would you mind terribly if I ask what in the hells is going on?"

"I was hoping you could tell me. Somebody snuck in someh-- oh god damnit, that wasn't even you I ran into earlier, was it?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"No, darling, it wasn't," she said patiently. "So... who are you, dear?"

[Drew Burke]

"This doesn't leave the room, much less the building." he insists and his entire frame seems to quiver and collapse in on itself while he loses most of his body fat and his face distorts into a more androgynous shape while his hair turns red. "Drew Burke, pleased to meet you."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Victoria Valentine," she said, eyeing her. "So how many people in this building will want to see you dead if they find out you aren't who you were appearing to be?"

[Drew Burke]

"One or two. I suspect Margali knows." he says, stretching his back with his arms up over his head. "God, it feels good not to carry around that extra padding."

[Victoria Valentine]

"She's good like that, yes," Victoria said. "Probably good to not go running out without all of your 'makeup' on, then, yes?"

"So... why are you sneaking around as a much-less-aesthetically pleasing businessman?"

[Drew Burke]

"Only Margali and me are here right now, though you're probably right." he admits and slowly grows doughy again. "And I do it because unlike Drew Burke, Henry Hereford has money and connections. And it's a change of pace. It gets boring to be the same person day in day out."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria smirked. "Very true, very true. And where is the real Mr. Hereford? Or is this a situation where what I don't know can't hurt me?"

[Henry Hereford]

"He had an unfortunate boating accident, I'm afraid."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Curiouser and curiouser," she said. She smiled, patting Drew's cheek indulgently. "Although you'd better get back into costume, dear. That valet can only stay traumatized for so long before he comes back in."

[Henry Hereford]

"Why oh why must most rich people be boring, white blobs?" he sighs dramatically as he rearranges his appearance back to that of Henry.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Because if other ones looked like me, I'd make sure to bankrupt them," Victoria answered 'reasonably'.

[Henry Hereford]

"Yet it would make business meetings so much more joyful. Please do consider a change of heart, for the aesthetic pleasure of the rest of us." he smirks impishly at his own clever compliment, an expression that looks like it would be much more at home on his actual face.
