POLICE have released CCTV footage of a supervillain in connection with a robbery at a Westcliff bank.
A man went into Lloyds TSB on London Road and passed a note to staff demanding money on Monday, November 8th, at around 10am.
After restraining security with an unidentified chemical compound, he told staff he had a gun although no weapon was seen, and was passed a four-figure sum of cash before leaving the bank.
The man is described as being in his forties, around 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall with grey hair and facial stubble.
He was of muscular build, wore a grey/green anorak, and was carrying two carrier bags.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, based at Pitsea police station, are investigating the robbery.
