A reported 4.8-magnitude earthquake in Eureka County, Nevada shook parts of the region late Wednesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The Eureka County Sheriff's Office said that it has received no reports of damage or injuries.

Frank Blind, who works at the Shell Oil station in Eureka, said he was reading when he felt a jolt from the quake that was an estimated 20 miles south of Eureka.

"It was just enough to get your attention," he said. "By the time it got your attention, it stopped."

"It kind of rattled the windows a little bit," Blind said. "It rattled for maybe 1 to 2 seconds, and then it just stopped right away."

No injuries have been reported.
