[Issue 11] Leaving on a Jet Plane

It wasn't long after she was brought on board the waiting Blackbird that Nailah wakes up. Her head has cleared a little bit but she's still quite pissed as she remembers what happened. Without trying to get up she slowly peels open one eye and looks around, noting that she doesn't exactly have much room in the cage that's usually called a holding cell when it isn't occupied by a giant Sphinx.

"Wo sind die anderen Feiglinge?" she hisses, noticing Trev in one of the seats.

Trev snapped out of his reverie in his seat and slowly stood up. "Die anderen...uh...." he said haltingly.

"Well. They uh. Kinda thought it would be best to have some of the people who aren't quite themselves go back to get taken care of," he said nervously, not really getting too close to the holding cell.

"John, Chloe and Kay are all here on the plane. We're going home to undo the damage that crazy guy did."

Trev was silent, looking for the right words for what felt like an eternity.

"Put him in his place." she says, the only thing betraying her demeanor her twitching tail.

"And if he'd refuse to acknowledge it; rip out his throat." Now her calmness just seems unsettling.

"We should be home soon...we'll get everything fixed..." He wiped his brow.

"N-no!" He yelled unconvincingly.

Her quarry? If it weren't for that damned magic I'd be... no. I can't let myself slip.

Then Trev's yell snapped the now de-armored John out of his thoughts.

"Relax Trev, these cells are designed for mutants more powerful than me or her," he said, sitting sphinx-like in his voluntary cell.

She lets out a grunt and gives the bars one last shake before going down on all fours again.

Trev didn't respond. He still looked petrified and again went to sit in his seat slightly out of view of the cages--but still plenty visible. He grabbed a bottle of water from a storage bin and opened it, spilling more on himself from his shaky hands than getting in his moth.

Nailah lets her self slump down, resting her head on her paws, her tail swishing around lazily.

Safe. Pff! Don't even get to give that pompous douche his comeuppance.

They could at least hurry up. This is so undignified. Put me in a cage will you?

Instead of swooping in and trying to 'help' they should have brought some combs and brushes. If I have sot mope around in a cage I could at least get all those knots out of my fur.

"That psycho has set up a freaking game preserve, complete with fence, mind-altering fog, and communication jamming. We've got Professor Weaver, John, Chloe and Kay safe and on board the plane with me. They're....all...changed. Stephanie and Ryan stayed with the rest of the group to go in, get the other prisoners and deal with Kraven."

"Stephanie looked like her werewolf form had been on steroids for about 5 years. It took a shot to the brain from Ryan to even let her shift back human and she was still way more...feral-looking than normal. John and Professor Weaver are both more animal than human, appearance wise...and probably mentally too. I think I can patch you through to the security camera on the jet..." He said standing up and walking over to a computer console, hesitantly pecking away at a keyboard and a touch display.

"Do you have a view?"
