Lillian shifted back into a kitty after she realized that she had fallen behind. She darted around the piece of the machinery, raced through the door, and chased after the group.

She gave her cutest, most pathetic meow in hopes that someone would pick her up. The kitty shifter preferred to run in her leopard form, but there was no room for a 120 pound cat currently.

Okay, this is kinda weird, but you're adorable and pathetic right now Lilian, and I think this is what you want... Haley mind spoke to Lilian as she bent down to pick her up and carry her under one arm. She kept her eyes on the flying huge target Molly was making of herself and kept her shielded.

Steve would get bits and pieces of the guards viewpoints. One was doing a sudoku while waiting for the drones to alert him. One was apparently dozing off. A few more, though, were turning their eyes toward the kids position.

Oh yeah. Half-broken walls didn't do much to hide sound, either.

A few, though, were training their guns to hope to get a quick shot at Molly in the cracks between the ceiling and the broken wall.

Molly would see, from her tentative vantage point, a few guards aiming over the walls at her. And if she didn't move her ass, she was going to get shot at, and quickly.

Haley pushed her will into the shield around Molly, making sure it was as solid as it could be.

It could probably stop a truck, but Haley was good at overdoing things with her powers.

I'll do what I can Steve. Mental multitasking is hard....

As she started to move, Theresa's eyes flared and the fog returned. She staggered briefly, but kept going, managing to keep them mostly cloaked.

The kitty ceased her purring and "biscuit making" (kneading), wiggling free from Haley's grasp to perch on her shoulder. Hopefully the poor girl didn't suffer too many scratches during the quick scramble.

Small kitty sitting on a small shoulder. Perfect fit. Alert and ready Lillian's ears swiveled on top of her head like half-rotating satellites trying to detect anything she could.

Haley's training suit was durable enough to avoid any harm from Lillian's scramble to her shoulder. She dropped shields for now as they moved, trying to stay within the fog and listening to the thoughts of everyone around for signs of attack.

Steve yet again proved he was fleet of foot as he moved ahead. He used his link to the guards' vision to stay out of obvious sight lines.

The forest stretched out in front of them once they were out the window, and, indeed, it seemed quiet.

On the other hand, Theresa (with her link to the earth) could probably feel a faint tremor, and the very odd mental sensation that Steve had felt earlier was much stronger now. ALso... it was all around them.
