Art Critic

[Nash Riley]

A bus pulled up to its stop in Chelmsford, and passengers got off and others got on. One of those getting off was Nash. After getting out of the way of the other pedestrians he stopped to look around.

[Narrator]

The police station is right across the street and the graffiti is clearly visible on it's front. A group of cleaners is busy scrubbing it off. They made some progress but it's still very legible.

[Nash Riley]

Once across the street he walks up to it to get closer look at the graffiti.

[Narrator]

Still looks like it did from across the street. It certainly looks to be the same color that Ashlie had been scrubbing from her arm.

"Crazy, innit?" one of the other people who stopped to have a look says. "Whatever nutjob did that sure put a lot of effort into it."

[Nash Riley]

"It does look like it would have took some time, and on the outside of the a police station, you'd think someone would have seen something."

[Narrator]

"Heard it got put up in 5 minutes." the guy says in a tone reserved for clearly exaggerated rumors.

"Clearly the work of aliens." a pretentiously intellectual chimes in. "Remember those extraterrestrial robots last year? I hear one of them got knocked off course in London and has been hiding in the countryside."

[Nash Riley]

"Would have taken a robot to put it up in five minutes."

[Narrator]

"See? He agrees with me!" the guy says while a couple of bystanders scoff.

[Nash Riley]

"I didn't say I thought one of those alien robots did it."

[Narrator]

"Oh so it's a different robot, huh?"

[Nash Riley]

"I just don't see an alien robot making graffiti and doing it English."

[Narrator]

"Well if they did it in gobbledygook we bloody well wouldn't get the message now, would we?" somebody else chimes in.

[Nash Riley]

"I guess not, but what message is this trying to send anyway?"

[Narrator]

"Beats me."

"I'm telling yeah, it was just some punk kids."

"It's them dirty aliens, they want us to pay for their welfare."

This group of people is clearly not the kind to have a high-brow discussion with.

[Nash Riley]

Nash walks over to an area of the graffiti where the cleaners aren't working and briefly touches it, trying to analyze it with his power.

[Narrator]

It's a fairly complicated dye-compound, certainly not your usual spray-can graffiti. A certain conversation about molecular dyes comes to mind.

[Nash Riley]

It is looking more and more like it for sure.

Nash then looks around to see what other places are nearby.

[Narrator]

None that seem particularly interesting or noteworthy.

One of the cleaners notices Nash and gestures towards him. "Oy! What do you think you're doing there? We're trying to work here!"

[Nash Riley]

"Sorry." He says as he backs off.

[Narrator]

"Ya didn't come to admire your work, did you? They say criminals always come back to the place of the crime." the guy eyes him suspiciously.

[Nash Riley]

"That's just an old wives tale, you shouldn't believe everything you see on TV."

[Narrator]

"Sounds like something the culprit would say." he scoffs before turning back to his work of trying to scrub the graffiti off.

[Nash Riley]

Nash just calmly walks off down the street looking for someplace to kill some time before the bus to take him back arrives.
