I13DT: Suspicions about the Hidden Realities of the Air

Theresa's destructive wind speeds through a corridor and blasts out into large chamber full of strange looking chemistry equipment. Broken glass, chemicals, ingredients, and books fly everywhere before Will is finally deposited. Something further in explodes as the wind continues on it's warpath.

Will landed and rolled, looking around.

"Great, science--this is more Sara's area of expertise," he said, looking around for something he recognized.

The labels he finds are unusual to say the least. While some show chemical names, others are things like Aqua Fortis, Aqua Regia, Horn Silver, and King's Yellow. There are also a secured container labeled "Alkahest DO NOT SPILL" and organs in jars. The old books still on their shelves are all in Arabic, Chinese, and Latin. Strange and possibly occult paintings are on the walls as well.

"Well this is creepy--is this alchemy? I thought that was all mumbo-jumbo," Will said, sorting through the jars. "So, he's NOT just a mad scientist..."

He comes across a jar of human teeth, a cat's brain, and a corpse in a jar. A tiny, three inch tall corpse.

"What the..." Will said, gawking. "OK, this is...this is just getting creepy."

Will could easily BE three inches tall, so it shook up significantly, and he stood up and walked back, shakily. He started looking for exits.

The entrance he came through isn't far off. Along the way is writing a desk. Hanging over the wind-jumbled papers is a photo of Karpov with Vladimir Lenin dated 1920. If anything, Karpov looks older.

"Haaaang on a minute..." Will said, stopping in his tracks. "That's not..."

Will started combing through the papers, seeing if he could find anything.

Will uncovers an old journal as he searches. There's nothing on the stray papers but lab notes written in code, so it's probably worth a look.

Will pocketed it and, unless anything else caught his attention, would head out to try to track down the man himself.
