"You know what?" Ryan said, looking at the elevator car, "I'm not feeling like being THAT obliging here. They can probably tell everything we're doing, but I'm at least not going to keep it easy." He looked for the access hatch on the elevator to get on top of it.

Ryan (carefully) popped the hatch. "We want three floors up... then we want the top deck. Let me see if I can draw their fire and you can come up and hit them from behind." He watched to make sure he had enough clearance, then flew up through the shaft, shooting for the door three decks up.

The door could be opened from the inside, and didn't appear to be trapped. It WAS locked, however--though it wasn't a blast door or anything of that nature.

"Everybody into the shaft. We'll cut the cable and let them fill up the lower decks first. Let's see how badly they want to drown us."
