Will stood there, and the panel...smashed into his face.

Or, more accuratly, Will's head shifted to clay, the panel smashed through that, taking some clay with it, and Will's head reformed.

"Aren't we testy this morning, Ms. Nyx?"

John was launched forward and tumbled, his tetsubo spinning across the floor. His armor absorbed the hit but currently had a hole in it, slowly closing.

Quentin took Ryan's bolt to the chest, staggering back a step as it blew a hole through him.

It might actually hit John if he doesn't get out of the way.

He lifted his OTHER hand, and machine gun fire came out...and didn't stop.

With a scowl, Bear opted to stay with John, holding off will from attacking the others.

"Why don't you try that against someone ready for it?" Bear shouted, taking a wide defensive stance.

John rolled just in time to avoid the bolt and scooped up his tetsubo as he rose. He cracked his neck and took a battle stance. "He fights like a coward too."

Ryan dove down, 'flying' along the floor to try to zip past Will as he fired at him, wanting a shot at his back. Or, more specifically, his hand. He didn't think he'd ever tried stunning Will, but he was interested in what 'paralyzing' part of him would do.

With John and Bear taking a defensive posture, Quentin focused his incoming machine-gun fire on the swooping Ryan--most guns would have to reload, but Will was apparently...not having to do so.

Ryan was fast, though, and if there's one thing SHIELD training had allowed him to do, it was evade gunfire.

As Ryan swooped past Will, he would have to deal with a gout of flame coming from Will's other hand, trying to singe those blasted wings of his.

Ryan's blast hit Will's hand, disrupting the gunfire. THe hand...then fell off, and a new one began to form.

While "will" was distracted trying to tag Ryan, Bear had an open shot.

She quickly threw a ball at him, which expanded into a large, sticky, explosion of epoxy upon contact.

You would expect Will to have grunted in pain or exertion or something from Bear's ball, but no. It DID keep him from swinging his arms to follow Ryan in his arc, giving him an open shot.

Instead, Will's face went more blank for a moment, as the ball and epoxy began to be absorbed into his body.

"I'm going to try to wake him up," she sent, shedding the mass she'd grown as she focused more on mental, trying to burrow down and find Will's slumbering psyche.

Sam quickly drifted into a familiar setting...Will's mindscape.

It was a disaster area. It looked like a battle had been waged here, and the factory and surrounding quaint hamlet was in ruins and on fire. Bodies were strewn about all over the place, and very little movement was to be seen.

The most notable thing at the moment, of course, would be the huge spire in the center of what used to be the town, which looked like it was receiving a solid electrical pulse from somewhere.

The power knocked Will off his feet. Again, no sign of reaction on Will's face, but he sputtered a bit trying to stand up, before slowly getting to his feet. He responded by shooting an arm out at Ryan, trying to grab him by the throat.

Inside his head, the light sputtered for a moment.

The Willderlings gave a hearty roar at that, though mostly a guttural one, and turned towards the tower, picking up the rubble on their way to form an angry mob.

Of course, this was rubble from a candy factory, so they were armed with things like peanut brittle and vanilla pods, but hey.

Ryan, meanwhile, was busy trying to keep Will from throttling him. Hand-to-hand combat wasn't exactly easy with someone who could go from physical to a puddle of water.

Ryan, from previous training sessions, would notice that Will's movements were more...predictable. As if he had found a basic tactic of going for the throat, and wasn't wavering. It was less creative than some of Will's normal attack angles.

Practically speaking, that might mean he could time a powerful counter-attack.

Ryan's foot sank deep into Will's head...and got stuck there.

This did not seem to be an ideal situation for Ryan...however, it appeared to be an equally bad situation for Will, as he tried, and failed, to shake Ryan loose!

"And you lot I need as cavalry for harassment," she says, directing another contingent.

"And as for you..." She looks to a third portion, "...we need catapults."

Love these games of killing time... Hope Ms. McManus is doing better... He didn't struggle to get free, but rather threw his weight to the side, driving a charged fist into his body. He hoped that his power would disrupt Will enough to keep him from grabbing onto his fist, but... well, that was again the only card he really had.

Ryan's power, combined with the distraction of having his foot literally stuck in what Will's brainpan would be, cut through him like a hot knife through butter. It was very effective!

Will brought up a hand, slowly turning metal, to try to pry Ryan's foot out, even if he had to cut it off.

The Willegions saluted, and began to get to work.

They were missing some of Will's normal sense of humor and play, but that just meant they were that much more efficient, forming a pyramid of blockers and shifting into a solid wall, as others pushed yet more shifting people into position for an attack. It was all very organized and militaristic and controlled, patterns forming out of chaos.

Ryan shook off the odd thought in the back of his mind as a heated irritation, curling his body up to grab at the arm. Either Will could support his weight (likely, given Ryan's vaguely avian bone composition), or he'd throw will off balance. Either way, he was leaning up to snatch at the offending hand.
