I13: Test 00002 - MAJORITY RULES

[Sidney Young]

"Shit was under control! Mostly. At least I wasn't shackled to Carrie, here."

[Haley Crusek]

"Oh shut the fuck up, she growled.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Oh whatever. We were in an empty room without doors to starve. Really 'under control'," Alex said, studying the manacles.

[Sidney Young]

"Okay so maybe it wasn't entirely under control." she says, taking step as she promptly forgets that she's shackled to Haley, jerking her leg forward in an attempt to compensate/drag Haley along.

[Narrator]

"Thank you for volunteering to try out the new LimbBuddy system. This is a technological advance that will improve the lives of millions upon millions.

We hardly have to remind you that removing the device before the end of testing would be highly dangerous, as it's primed with a small, but potent, explosive device.

The device is, of course, a temporary measure, before surgical methods can be employed.

To test out the LimbBuddy system, please proceed to the next testing chamber, which has been previously solved for your convenience."

[Sidney Young]

"So how attached are you to your leg?" she asks Haley. Surely she can't be serious.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley silently stared daggers at Sidney in reply. (Which actually really hurt, and gave Sidney a nosebleed.)

[Sidney Young]

In return Sidney stomps on Haley's foot with, well, her other foot. Or at least she tries to by catching her off-guard.

[Mariuset]

"Perhaps you two should stop squabbling, so that we may concentrate on escape."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley yelped in pain and the pair toppled onto the ground as they got twisted up.

"...she's probably right," she grumbled

[Sidney Young]

"Great. Just great." she mumbles with her face on the ground. "Follow my lead then." she says and tries to get up without much regard for cooperation from Haley. It doesn't exactly work as well as she'd hoped though and she's more struggling to drag Haley up along with her.

[Haley Crusek]

"Gah, fuck you're pulling my fucking hair! Stop! Move the other fucking way!" she growled, trying to right them both with her TK.

[Sidney Young]

"Then stop jerking me around with your mind! You're gonna dislocate my hip or something!"

[Haley Crusek]

"If you stopped squirming and shut up for a second I could concentrate and make this work, god damnit!"

[Sidney Young]

"As if you know how to make anything work." she says, though at least she stops moving around too much.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley did in fact manage to right them once she stopped moving. She scowled at Sid. "Alright. Let's just...try not to injure each other more, okay?"

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex looked at Mariuset and shrugged. "I... guess we make the best of this?" He was still pretty damned bulky, so he checked the length of the ankle-thing to see if it'd give him enough length to just carry her and make things simpler.

[Sidney Young]

Haley did in fact manage to right them once she stopped moving. She scowled at Sid. "Alright. Let's just...try not to injure each other more, okay?"

"Oh shut the fuck up. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you."

[Calvin Strong]

"Yeah, you got dragged kicking and screaming to that club, right?" Cal shot back at her as he started through the door.

[Narrator]

Alex looked at Mariuset and shrugged. "I... guess we make the best of this?" He was still pretty damned bulky, so he checked the length of the ankle-thing to see if it'd give him enough length to just carry her and make things simpler.

If anything, his bulktitude would just make it harder for Mariuset to reach the floor.

He couldn't, like, carry her in his arms, but if he was capable of moving around with a small fishgirl strapped to his side...

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex sighed. "God damn it..." Iron began flowing out of him at his feet, his extra bulk flowing away, some of it wrapping across his chest like chains as he resumed his human form.

[Sidney Young]

"Yeah, you got dragged kicking and screaming to that club, right?" Cal shot back at her as he started through the door.

"Shut the fuck up, Bolt-Head. You're not part of this conversation."

[Calvin Strong]

"So can you regenerate a missing leg?" Cal asked, then hint of a threat creeping into his voice.

[Sidney Young]

"Go ahead and try, maybe we'll find out how many of those metal bits you actually need while we're at it." she snipes back. Because she's a bitch, not at all because she's worried about Haley's leg getting blown off if they try to circumvent this bullshit.

[Haley Crusek]

"God, everyone just shut up!" she yelled.

[Mariuset]

"I am sure that we will manage."
