Now Approaching the Savage Land.

[Kevin Gravis]

Kevin did exactly that plus three steps more. "Think you can program them to erase the Star Wars prequels too?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Let's not get too ambitious." she chuckles slightly.

[Narrator]

Sara was able to dispense some nanites!


And klaxkons blared throughout the building.

"WARNING: NANITES FREE FROM STORAGE. EVACUATE IMMEDITATLEY. COMMENCING PLAN OMEGA."

[Sara Stanton]

"That can't be good." she says, shifting to stone and quickly closing the petri dish full of nanites.

[Kevin Gravis]

"Has something called Plan Omega ever been a good thing?" Kevin asked. "Maybe we should in fact run away very quickly."

[Sara Stanton]

"I agree." she says, grabbing the petri dish before making a break for the door.

[Narrator]

As soon as Sara reached the door, the turrets above the door pointing in opened up with a barrage of high-powered lasers.

[Sara Stanton]

"Fuck you, I'm taking this sample out of here!" she yells at no one in particular as she just kind of tumbles to the ground to dodge the shots.

[Kevin Gravis]

Kevin gracefully dodges several laser shots, blocks a couple of shots with a glowing shield construct, and throws the shield at one gun Captain America style while forcing the flight path to arc it to the other.

[Sara Stanton]

Sara scrambles back on her feet. "I think they're aiming for the nanites!" Sara yells over the noise of the firing lasers. "You're much faster than I am!" she adds before throwing the petri dish down the hall like a frisbee.

[Narrator]

Kevin's Captain America-inspired action was successful, taking out the guns--at least temporarily.

There were a lot of guns, is what I'm saying. But they at least had a bit of a clear path for a few seconds.

[Kevin Gravis]

Kevin nodded and dashed after the nanite frisbee, sending flying blades after laser guns with trying to shield (with something in the shape of an actual shield) the dish.

[Narrator]

Kevin's plan was a good one, assuming they could get through the thick security door separating the nanite hallway from the entry hallway. If they could do that, they'd be fine.

Stopping to open the door may not be a brilliant strategy.

[Sara Stanton]

"I got you covered, just get us through that door!" Sara shouts, raising as much stone as she can gather from the tile floor to shield Kevin and her from the guns to give them at least a little breathing room.

[Kevin Gravis]

"On it!" Kevin immediately re-purposed his blades as cutting torches and went to work.

[Narrator]

The door was heavy, but not impenetrable. Sara would not find the waiting PLEASANT, by any means, but Kevin could cut them through.

[Kevin Gravis]

"There, one good stony kick oughtta do it."

[Sara Stanton]

"Let's get out of here then." she manages to get out before storming the weakened door, bits and pieces of stone falling off of her from where the turrets had gotten shots in.

[Narrator]

They had a "clear" path to the stairwell--well, as clear as a hallway lined with guns can be.

[Kevin Gravis]

Kevin rushed through after Sara, blocking a laser with his handy shield construct as he went.

"Who's a good shield! You are! Yes you are!" he baby-talked.

[Sara Stanton]

Sara draws some more tiles into herself from the fresh stretch of hallway. She looks exhausted as she stumbles her way down the corridor.

[Narrator]

They would be able to reach the end relatively unscathed, thanks to Kevin's shielding and Sara's bulk!

[Kevin Gravis]

Kevin peeked around the doorway beyond.

[Sara Stanton]

"Hey, we managed to get a sample of nanites but no key. Did you get the kids out?" Sara checks over the radio.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Need a hand," Steph growled back through the radio. "Kraven. Big....thing."

[Sara Stanton]

"Shit did she say Kraven!?" she says, trying to pull herself together again, filling in the missing chunks in her frame, which takes a bit longer than she'd like.

[Kevin Gravis]

"Payback time eh?" Kevin grinned.

[Sara Stanton]

"Yeah, let's go." she says, hurrying down to the basement.
