That was when Kevin's own superhuman agility came into play, and he dodged and danced around Kraven (not literally) into a new angle while switching his sword for a baseball bat. Also, he took a swing. Can't forget that.

Charles had retreated with Miranda keeping himself between Miranda and the fight if only because he had no idea what to do.

Miranda leaned against the door, pressing her ear to it as if she hoped to hear something on the other side. She wore a defeated look on her face as she slowly slid down the door. She now seemed oblivious to what was going on around her.

The bite would weaken Steph notably, as the creature howled and slammed her backwards through the formerly locked doors at the back of the building.

In here were two things of note. One was a very large countdown clock, currently at 3:05.43 and rapidly dropping.

The second were two large power generating devices of some sort, about 30 feet apart, behind a thick plastic window. Bolts of energy fired between the two, and if anything, they seemed to be getting MORE powerful with each burst. Almost like they were overloading.

The monster charged in after her.

Kraven ducked under the bat, and tried to drive his shoulder into Kevin's midsection.

Charles chittered angrily at the hologram his mouth distending and carapace getting spikier.

Move out of the way, Miranda

He then vomited the purple acid onto the door

Kevin was hit, but moved with it and went into a roll instead of collapsing into a heap. Though Kraven's blow still probably broke a rib. Kevin came up and threw the glowing shield.

"Shut the fuck up." Sara snarls at Quentin as she gets up and whips her arm towards Kraven as if she was throwing something, with said something being a chunk of rock that she separates out from her arm.

The acid started, slowly, burning through the door. It would take about five minutes or so.

Kraven blocked the glowing shield--but the attack was enough to cause the bit of rock thrown from behind to hit him the back.

"You'll pay for that one," he said, whirling, Kevin momentarily forgotten.

Charles then began ramming the door to speed up its destruction. Apparently he was unaffected by the organic acid he created.

Steph let out a yelp that sounded not unlike a kicked puppy as she went flying through the air again, and slammed through the doors landing in a heap in front of a control panel. She struggled to push herself up, spitting up an unhealthy-looking amount of blood. In a daze for a moment, the arcing electricity caught her attention, as did the display with the countdown. Her eyes widened.

"Got to get out now! Three minutes till this place blows!" she barked into her radio.

She pushed herself up right and then immediately fell forward onto her hands and knees. She felt weaker than an infant.

Steph's vision blurred as she crawled to the remnants of the door frame and physically pulled herself upright on it. She stared down the creature that did this to her and growled, trying to will herself to fight against whatever was pumping through her veins. She barely even noticed Will running towards her.

Steph's body healed fast. She was no Wolverine, but it'd be hard to survive as a shifter with out a pretty impressive ability to heal. Not to mention, adrenaline does amazing things--and so does plain old anger. She grit her teet, pushed off from the wall and charged at the best which was hopefully distracted by Will, lunging at it's tail--more mindful of its bite this time--and really aiming to just rip the thing from the creature's body with a well-placed bite of her own.

The creature howled in agony, and whirled to face Steph. The tail came off in her mouth, spewing green acidic bile all over the place.

Steph spat out the tail and narrowly avoided getting burned by the gush of fluid as the creature whipped around to face her. She slashed at its midsection with her claws

The creature took the swipe and howled, and then wrapped it's tentacles around Steph, aiming to rip her in two!

Then the deflected and forgotten shield vanished and Kevin attempted to brain Kraven with it's replacement... a big glowing frying pan. Kevin always wanted to do that.

Steph tried to swipe at the tentacles to weaken them with her free hand. The other was trapped to her side and getting painfully constricted by the tentacles. She snarled and kicked and in general tried to escape the thing's grasp but it had her pretty good.

Kraven took the blow to the head and fell to his knees, lashing out with a sweep kick designed to knock Kevin down.

He was woozy however.

Steph could create a sliver of wriggle room, and possibly even squirm free, but it was becoming apparent that she wasn't enough to beat the thing by herself--at least, not in a physical, one on one battle. She would need help--or a strategy.

2:13.27 read the clock.

Sara and Kevin's combined blows dropped Kraven to the ground!

Meanwhile, the combined efforts of Cecil and Charles had managed to create a hole in the door, large enough for people to squeeze through.

They had maybe 100 seconds.

Steph managed, with great difficulty, to wriggle her way out of the creature's tentacles, dropping to the floor and staggering backwards gasping for air. Her head whipped around quickly, eyes darting this way and that to see if she could find some exposed conduit or wires--anything that she might be able to rip out and force the creature onto.
