Nick floated down into position and extended his telekinetic "touch" sense to detect the incoming pulse. His eyes were glowing bright red now.

With a rippling thunder and a terrifying crash, the portal down below warped, elongated--and then collapsed in on itself.

Collateral damage rippled through the structure, as it began to shake violently.

The building almost...collapsed in on itself, with the shockwave of the collapsing dimensional rift distorting the surrounding terrain.

When the smoke cleared, there was no evidence that anything had been there to begin with.
