Rachel would, disturbingly, not sense a reply to her words.

A moment later, though, Cal's voice spoke up in the same mechanical tones. "Vessel designated 'vessel 2' matching configuration of the vessel docked with us. Assuming 91.2332 percent probability that they are in league. Taking apropriate countermeasures."

With that, there was a sudden repeated 'thrum' as Cal diverted the power that had been going to the now-useless life support and powered up the weapons, opening fire on one of the ships as it passed in range.

On the other side of the airlock came a metallic scraping noise. Whatever it was, it didn't sound like it was good for their airlock, not that it was any real concern of theirs anymore.

"We should get ready to greet that boarding party," Kev said, arming himself as he moved closer to the airlock.

"God damn alien assholes," Melody growled. "Take some cover, people. I've got a bad feeling they're coming onto this ship shooting,"

She took her own advice, getting out of direct line of fire from the airlock and making several small bombs.

Daniel, in the meantime, kept in very clear view, though a bit aside so the cockpit wasn't right behind him, and waited, watching the airlock.

An aura of red light blazed around her as she spoke.

The airlock door seemed to disintegrate in a cloud of burning hot fumes, driving the X-Men back. The voices of the armored Kree were shouting in a language none of them understood, but the gesturing of their guns was unmistakeable.

Outside the ship, there seemed to be a three way space battle going between their ship, a boxy-looking segmented ship, and a gold, bullet-shaped ship.

Melody yelled as she spun out from cover to shower the doorway with flash-bangs to blind the kree.

"Fire in the hole!!!"

She made the explosions painfully loud and blindingly bright, but tried to avoid giving them too much punch...lest she blow up her own ship.

Kevin used a his blades to deflect energy blasts as he rushed the nearest alien, striking at its weapon. All in all it was very Jedi looking.

This was a far cry from the beaten and weary Shi'ar that the Kree had been expecting. The only ones they had a clear shot at were Daniel and Kevin, and both of them were rather unaffected due to their powers. The rest of their shots were disrupted as Melody's bombs sent them ducking back for cover. The X-Men's shots struck home, and most of the Kree were falling back before the heavy ship's chair slammed through their ranks. After that round of Kree-Bowling, the few still on their feet went scurrying back through their ship in a fighting retreat.

"Weapon fire from transport, identified: Accuser class modified freighter, ineffective. Theory: Vessel is unwilling to risk its blasts striking its companion vessel. Registering extra-vehicular occupants from Xandarian transport. Life support inoperative and atmosphere currently venting at a rate of 1.25447 percent per minute. Recommend assaulting pirate vessel at this time," Cal added in a monotone.

As the X-Men followed the Kree pirates into the ship, an explosion rocked both ships, as they had the unmistakeable impression of the Kree ship suffering repeated impacts. The lights flickered, a wall collapsing across an intersection as they pursued the pirates.

Kevin dove out of the way as the wall collapsed behind him, narrowly avoiding being crushed. He looked back as he got up.

"Okay guys, that was close."

He looked around the corridor.

"... aaand I'm alone."

As Kevin advanced, he'd see a horned, green-winged bulky figure emerging from the rubble. Apparently, this was one of the things impacting the pirate ship they were trying to comandeer.

The lizardlike creature roared, swinging a massive fist at Kevin as it lunged forward, freeing itself from the wreckage.

Meanwhile, the other group would find a hole suddenly punched through the hull, as another monstrous, three-armed alien slammed through their ranks, practically ramming Daniel through the opposite bulkhead.

Kevin attempted to backflip over the shockwave, but ended up tumbling all the same. However, he managed to salvage his awkward landing and roll into a crouch.

"X-Man, not pirate," he said as he rose. "And haven't you heard? Size doesn't matter."

Melody was knocked to the side in the attack, as she'd been standing pretty close to Daniel. She shook her head to clear it of stars and growled at the alien, tossing an egg-sized bomb as she scrambled up from the ground that she hoped would detonate on the alien's head, blinding and deafening it.

The alien was thrown off of Daniel much easier than either Ashlie or Daniel would expect. As soared across the chamber, he altered his trajectory, one of his three arms making a shooing motion. the air seemed to ripple as Melody's timebombs arced around the disruption, redirected into Daniel. He pointed another hand at Daniel, sending a beam of energy at the smoking Accolyte and keeping him pinned to the ground. His trajectory altered slightly, sending him soaring at Rachel, scooping her up with the two arms on his left side and throwing her at Ashlie.

Meanwhile...

"Ha! Big words, little man! Let's see you back them up!" the dragon-ish woman roared, closing on Kevin to throw him down the hall into the far wall.

Melody made a flying leap to land on her own bomb instead of Daniel, since she wasn't sure she could stop it in time. It exploded with bright flash and loud bang as it hit her just before she fell to the ground at the end of her dive. The fall hurt a hell of a lot more than the blast from her own power.

"douchebag aliens..." she groaned.

"How can I convince you I'm not a pirate?!"

Kevin attempted a twirling sidestep around the charging dragon-lady, delivering shallow slashes at her uniform as he did. He tried to leave an "X" actually, or maybe a "K." Hard to tell really. Could just be random lines.

Much as Kevin would have liked to disrobe a bulky dragon-woman, her uniform seemed to repel his sword. She spun in place, not nearly as fast as him, but evidently adept at over coming that, bringing up a fist so that it was right in his path to knock him upside the head. "Ha! Not as easy to bring me down as a little Shi'ar!" she laughed in a deep, rumbling voice.

Kevin's helmet took the brunt of the impact, but sent him reeling all the same.

"Hey no fair!" he said dizzily as he quickly recovered.

"You're here for the Shi'ar shuttle?" he asked, strafing around her.
