Melody and Daniel's Room

[Melody Martens]

Melody sat in her room not all that long after the briefing, idly twirling some timebombs in between her fingers, almost contact juggling with them. She almost had a slight smile on her face as she thought of finally getting a sliver of a chance of getting home before she turned fucking thirty.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel came in, apparently after jogging around the station and using what passed for a shower on a giant floating head turned space station. "Y'know," he said, "I think that's the closest to a smile I've seen on you yet, Freckles," he said, walking over to where she was sitting.

[Melody Martens]

"I see light at the end of the tunnel. What's not to smile about?" she broke into a wider smile. "Besides, I should finally just start appreciating the fact that I have a hot roommate who's very good at keeping me sane no matter what kind of shit we get into on these crazy missions."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Hey, by the time we're old? We'd better be famous for all the crazy shit we've seen," he said, grinning as he slipped an arm around her.

[Melody Martens]

Melody snuggled into his arm, her smile widening. "I'm sorry I've been such a lousy roommate so far. I promise I'll stop being so god damn grumpy."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Sorry, I must not have noticed, I think I was too busy being even grumpier than you," he chuckled.

[Melody Martens]

"We may not have booze...because I just don't have the stomach for that shit that Bowen scrounged up...I think you could degrease an engine with it...but we've got each other, and that's what matters. Maybe this place will have booze....maybe? I'm still a bit lost about the whole 'we're in a giant head' thing..."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Hell with booze," he sighed as they flopped back onto the bed. "I think we've done enough drinking our troubles away. I mean... we've got a job to do, it looks like we'll be able to do it, we've got people who can apparently get us home, it looks like our friends aren't dead... I think we're in pretty good shape right now, yeah?"

[Melody Martens]

"Yeah," she sighed, adjusting and laying her head into the crook of his arm, snuggling up next to him. "You're right. We'll get to bust some heads, save a teammate, and hopefully get home sooner rather than later..."

God I forgot how gorgeous he was...I've been sharing a room with him for weeks. I can't believe we've wasted so much time moping instead of...other things...

[Daniel Uriel]

"Exactly," he said, rolling toward her, his body unusually warm (although that WAS usual for him, as she'd well know by now). "Besides... hey, we're in space. How many people get to say that?" he asked with a smirk, his hand coming to a rest on her hip.

[Melody Martens]

"I suppose you have a point, as usual," she smiled, turning slightly onto her side to face him, inching ever closer to him in the process. "Kind of a shame all these aliens have perfected fake gravity. It'd be kind of cool to float around everywhere. At least for part of the time, you know?"

[Daniel Uriel]

"Mmm, I don't know, don't you think you're accident prone enough that floating around would be a bad idea?" he teased.

[Melody Martens]

"Hey, hey, fuck you," she laughed, pinching his ass hard.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel smirked, pinching her not quite as hard and somewhere a bit higher. "Well, the idea had crossed my mind."

[Melody Martens]

"Oh it has, has it?" Melody asked, grinning.

It's about ALL I've been thinking about lately...just didn't know how the hell to bring it up.

"Now THAT is something that'd probably be extra fun in zero gravity."

[Daniel Uriel]

"See, that'd make it reeeeally convenient if I'd burned in some gravity powers," Daniel mused. "But then again, you never complain about the normal 'on the bed' way," he reasoned with a smirk, leaning in and kissing her.

[Melody Martens]

Melody tried very hard not to seem TOO eager with her kiss back.

"You're okay I guess," she teased with a grin, not moving a centimeter away from him, tracing her finger along his collarbone lightly.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Mmm... 'okay'? I remember you using other words to describe me before," he chuckled, running his thumb across her stomach.

[Melody Martens]

"The things I've screamed out in bed might be slight exaggerations," she grinned teasingly. "Maybe you're somewhere between sex god and okay. That sound better?"

And that's when she leaned in and gave him what would become an impressive hickey.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Sounds much better," he said, idly starting to strip her clothes off of her while her lips were occupied.

[Melody Martens]

Melody made no effort to stop him, and in fact helped the process of clothes removal speed along. She climbed on top of him kissing him hungrily.

"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do this," she said in between kisses.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Pff, then what took you so long," he said, rolling over and pinning her down. "We should know by now that we needed some diversion when things get bad."

"Should have. Guess we'll just have to make up for lost time," she grinned, pulling him close for a wild kiss.

Quite a while later, with many new scratches and teeth marks and other such marks, they lay very happily on the bed. "See? Now doesn't space feel a whole lot better to be in?" Daniel sighed.

[Melody Martens]

Melody mumbled something unintelligibly and snuggled up against him.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel chuckled, slipping an arm under her head and pulling the blanket over them. "I know, babe," he chuckled, settling in himself.
