Flashback-style! Once upon a time in Genosha

((this may not be out of continuity. But as it's out of sequence, this is the best place to put it.))

One could only put up with so much shit, after all.

Daniel was currently in the park, and was sitting against a tree, keeping the bushes between him and the rest of the park and all its inhabitants. Mostly, this was because he didn't feel like taking any more crap from the guys he knew from school that he was oh-so-popular with. Another ten minutes and usually they started dispersing, he'd just wait it out until then, and then he'd have plenty of time before he had to get home. This caused a rather bitter feeling to go through him as he considered the sort of homes all of those assholes had to go home to, as in not the state-run craphole that didn't really care when or in what state he showed back up again, but he managed to push those thoughts away. No use dwelling on too many problems, after all.

"Hey." Kyra said, sitting down beside him. She found him. Whenever one, or both of them needed to talk, she found him. She didn't know why, or how, but she always found him.

Daniel scowled at that. "You can't, like, just turn on her happy-switch or something to get her off your back?" he suggested. He didn't exactly know how psychic stuff worked, after all.
