She smiled and got up from the couch, going over to her desk and unwrapping the loaf. Being that it was already scored on the top before it was baked, she was easily able to tear off a quarter of the small, round loaf as she passed it to Nailah.

"She always does this with a new school year. Bakes something and sends it with me."
