Small oval sections of the walls go as clear as glass along the outer hull to form portholes.

"Ah yes... if you'll allow Ellerbee to stow your bags, we may continue to the passenger lounge," Anu says.

Bear dropped her belongings carefully, not willing to let anyone else stow them.

If Ellerbee is offended, it doesn't show as he and Anu lead the way after the luggage is put away. A circular door irises open and the group enters a large room.

While still rather minimalist is design, the passenger lounge is colorful and fully furnished with a round table and plush pastel chairs. There is also a pale orange couch in the circular space. The ceiling is perfectly transparent, as is the forward cockpit that seamlessly adjoins the lounge.

"Please make yourselves comfortable. We will be lifting off shortly."

Anu takes a seat in a chair as Ellerbee sits in the cockpit.

"This will be disorienting at first," Anu says reassuringly as the ship rises, evidenced only by the relative movement of the stars above.

Nailah wants to make a smart-ass comment of some kind but then just steadies herself against the wall and makes her way to one of the seats, trying not to look out the window.

The ship rotates until the great sphere of the Earth comes into view.
