"Some of us more than others," Steve commented, the critique not directed at anyone present.

"Steven Jones. I'm a writer. The idea of non-carbon life has always fascinated me... I just never thought I'd ever see it."

"It has enormous cultural and scientific impact initially. How soon a race benefits from it's full scope depends on how well they take to it. For... less advanced ones anyway." she says politely.

Another of the security chief's race approached, dressed in a kind of formal black suit with a split cape resembling a beetle's wings at rest.

"Ah, Princess. I should have known you'd be the first to greet our visitors," the tall saurian said warmly.

"Something we have in common. Though you win in swiftness of action."

He looked to the humans.

"But where are my manners. My name is J'Hon T'Su of the Rik'Heen. While the queen is our official representative here, I welcome you as well," he said with a toothy expression that could either be a smile or a snarl. Context said smile.

He nods, "My father is Kuvahk K'Se T'Su. A Kuvahk is a mid-range title, but he is also my world's representative in the Galactic Senate."

Rachel was staying quiet, too excited and interested by the aliens to say anything, wishing that she'd get a chance to examine their physiology.

"Dangerous, for organics. The atmosphere is toxic to most due to the volcanic activity, but it's beautiful. There are starports at the poles that have an artificial atmosphere to accommodate visitors without the need for suits."

A figure that looked like an inkblot walked up to the group. Unlike the others he lacked any fancy dress, other than a silver band on each arm. However, the lack of clothing didn't seem particularly revealing with the figure's form lacking any significant detail. He looked towards Anu as he approached.

You've no doubt noted the lack of high-ranking cadre representatives and that is why I am here, Anu.

Then he looked back towards the humans with glowing yellow eyes waiting for J'Hon to finish talking about his planet or alternatively his presence to be noted.

If there was a real threat they would have sent three of us. Thus far there is nothing my cadre can uncover and the others are unlikely to take any direct action, but dispatching me as a safeguard was considered prudent.

J'Hon had begin talking about his home city of Ga'Tanarr on Ssa'Veran when he spotted the operative. He stopped talking.
