She gave a sad smile.

"Aye. That I get. But it's something we can all fall back on, aye?"

"Great. Awesome." she mumbles and gets up.

"Nailah," she said as she got up and tried to put a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"Don't underestimate how much it helps knowing you care and would never really want to hurt her. I've known her longer than you, and trust me when I say that means the world to her."

"Besides, If I thought for even a second that you were going to hurt her, would I be saying this?"

Nailah twists her shoulder out of the way before Sam even says anything but she's too annoyed to notice that, much less listen to Sam.

Samantha sighed as the girl went to leave.

"...and I'm not trying to hurt you either," she mumbled.
