How much danger can you really fit into a room?

"...er, sorry!"

"It did look good, though."

[Nailah]

"I know right!" she almost shouts, having a big stupid grin on her face. "That was awesome!" she says and jumps to her feet again.

[Samantha McManus]

"You're going to be in that flying class in no time!"

[Michael Asters]

Meanwhile, Mike stepped into the observation booth, only to find that he couldn't get his training in yet since the room was occupied. Hmmm, well, let's see who's down there- oh my lord, what is THAT that she's wearing?

[Samantha McManus]

"Uhm..." Samantha said, suddenly a little nervous.

"...I think there's someone in the observation booth."

[Nailah]

"Oh?"

It takes her a moment to remember Sam's outfit after the thrill of fl--sailing.

"Oh!"

[Samantha McManus]

It took her a bit to place just who it felt like, but when she managed to this caused her to blush deeply.

"...ohGodit'sMike."

[Nailah]

"No peeking!" Nailah shouts, with a bit of a chuckle, spreading her wings and standing in front of Sam. Having no clue where the observation window actually is in relation to the canyon she just kinda randomly picks a direction.

[Michael Asters]

Mike chuckled and obligingly turned his chair around, pulling a book out of his gym bag.

There'd be time to tease Sam when they were done in there, after all.

[Samantha McManus]

"Uhm... it's... not what it looks like!"

She wasn't sure what it looked like, but it made sense in her head.

[Michael Asters]

So you aren't jumping into the Grand Canyon with Nailah? A voice asked quietly in her mind.

[Samantha McManus]

"...er well that part is spot on."

[Michael Asters]

There's another part to what's going on? The tone sounded amused.

[Samantha McManus]

"I wasn't exactly planning on dressing like this!"

[Michael Asters]

...So I assume you got ambushed by those evil gnomes that accost pretty girls and force them to wear flattering outfits?

[Samantha McManus]

"No, Nailah said I had to wea- er... wait, flattering?"

[Michael Asters]

What, you didn't think you looked bad in that, did you?

[Samantha McManus]

"It's crazy superhero togs with... I mean, I don't even know why there are feathers on it!"

[Michael Asters]

...Because the gnomes thought they'd look good on you?

[Samantha McManus]

"Right. My roommates the gnomes."

[Michael Asters]

Getting back on topic? Yes. Flattering.

Think they could make you something in leather, too? Mike was apparently enjoying himself as he gently teased her.

[Samantha McManus]

Though there hadn't been a peep out of her, or Mike, Nailah would definitely see that Sam was blushing again.

"Well ah... you'd have to get that motorcycle first. Obviously."

[Michael Asters]

Well yes. But if, say, I'd gotten one last week, and just needed a little more time to finish working on it, then I'd say that someone needs to make sure she has something to wear to go for a ride. Unless you don't really want to come for a ride...

[Samantha McManus]

"No! You... you just tell me when it's running! I'll be ready!"

[Nailah]

Nailah quirks an eyebrow at Sam's sudden blushing.

"Everything okay here? You're not gonna spontaneously combust on me or something?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Uhm... I'm... just... distracted?"

[Nailah]

"By Miiiike?" she teases, putting two and two together.

[Samantha McManus]

"...little bit," she mumbled.

[Nailah]

She snickers. "Oh go ahead already. I'll just throw myself off a cliff a couple more times without you."

[Samantha McManus]

"You sure? I mean, moral support helps, right?"

[Nailah]

"Yeah, but this is important too. Now go!" she shoos Sam with a chuckle.

Working up a bit of nerve, Samantha stepped away from Nailah.

"Computer, I need the door," she asked before one slid open out of thin air. Taking a deep breath, she went up the steps to the observation deck.

[Michael Asters]

Mike, who'd obligingly gotten a book out and turned away from the window to let them fly or fall in relative peace, looked around a bit surprised when the door slid open. "Oh! Hi, not... going to jump anymore?" he asked. Wow. I like that uniform even more up cloooh my god, she's another telepath, BLOCKing...

[Samantha McManus]

"She insisted," she said, blushing again as she caught that stray thought.

"She'll do great, though."

[Michael Asters]

"She will," Mike agreed, siezing on the subject to haul his mind out of its awkward train of thought. "She's got good encouragement to motivate her, at least," he added as he turned around to look back into the Danger Room with her.

[Nailah]

Down in the room Nailah continues to throw herself into the canyon, for now trying to focus on safely getting into a controlled glide. She tries to figure out how to make a turn but just ends up disturbing the delicate balance keeping her afloat though after a couple of stomach-turning seconds she manages to slow her descend again.

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye. She really wants to fly. Kind of the upside of having them, all told."

"And this is safer than jumping off buildings or from trees."
