Red Skies

A redhead in a longcoat walked into the pub, boots sounding on the floor as she approached the bar. There was a brief, clipped conversation with the bartender, before he pointed to a table in a darkened corner of the room. She nodded, and made her way over.

"So," she said as she pressed her palms against the tabletop and leaned forward, "they tell me you're the reason the Mad Angel's latest raid was successful..."

She sat down, looking the woman over.

"There's a Britannian cargo shipment I've been hearing about, but the manifests aren't on file with any of the major ports. Also, they seem to be taking on men at the local garrison, so whatever's on board they want it well-guarded..."

She laughed.

"Suppose you really haven't heard of me, then. How novel."

She pulled a pouch from inside her coat, and set it on the table.

"And this is only a taste of the hard currency I can offer. If you're interested in more than just money, I can really make it worth the time," she smirked suggestively.

Much later...

In the dark of night a figure circles above the Emerald Crow. After a while she seems to have spotted the window she was looking for and swoops down, sticking the landing perfectly with as little hold there is to work with. For a moment she considers trying to break in, but figures there are some people you don't try to surprise and instead she taps her clawed fingers against the glass.

"Is that a good idea? Who knows what kinda people could come fluttering in." she grins as she pushes the window open and sits down on the sill, tail swinging above the drop down. She's wearing brown half-length leather-pants and a red corset-like vest over a white shirt. Her hat is hanging from her belt because it's hard to not lose these things while flying.

"If I thought you were going to double-cross me, I could just as easily kill you where you stand," she said with a smirk. The captain's quarters were... lavish, to say the least. Furs and silks from a number of successful raids, with the captain herself draped in little more than a silk sheet.
