The Chase (Open Thread)

[Gaius Montgomery]

"Brilliant..." he groaned.

[Onyx]

"Oh bother, looks like you'll have to help me," Onyx says with a grin, "Shadow!"

A dark shape slid off the wall and formed into a black sword in her hand.

"Ready, Shirley?" Onyx asks, pointing the sword at the riflemen.

[Gaius Montgomery]

"Like I have a choice," he answered before leaning in to hold her arm, adding, "You might want to hold your breath."

He stomped his foot and several small black spheres rolled out of his pants leg, releasing a cloud of thick black smoke that quickly enveloped them. He also phased the both of them.

[Narrator]

Bullets fired, going right through the pair.

[Gaius Montgomery]

Ras de-phased.

"Back in a moment," he said cockily before he dashed out of the smoke, now wielding a pair of knives. However, just as he closed in, he flipped back. Out of his pants leg a sparking green bomb was flung at the guards, which would quickly explode in a cloud of knockout gas.

[Narrator]

The knockout gas was super effective! The guards fell to the floor in a large heap.

[Onyx]

Onyx smiles, her sword dissolving back into a shadow.

"I knew you'd be useful."

[Gaius Montgomery]

"Smart woman," he smirked.

"None-the-less, we should get going before any more show up."

[Onyx]

"I'm afraid you're on your own for that part," Onyx says with a smile and a wink. Her shadow swirls around her and in a blink of an eye she's gone.

[Gaius Montgomery]

"Until next time then," he grinned as he leaned against a wall. In a puff of smoke, he too was gone.
