The XU Corral

Postby Narrator » Mon Jan 09, 2012 2:31 pm

Howdy, partners, and welcome to yet another edition of what if on these here XU forums. It's been a fur piece, but this ain't my first rodeo--just because a chicken has wings doesn't mean it can't fly.

This here would be what would've been happenin' had these XU characters all been' in the Old West, out on the frontier--Show Low, Arizona, to be precise, way out on the edge of civilization. There may be law-types out this far, but there ain't 'zactly no serious force--a man lives by his own code, out here on the frontier.

Saddle up! Lock and load! Yeeee-haw!

Mr. Nate Davis

Owner of The Cat's Tail Saloon. Rumored to have some Indian in his blood. Has a strict "hang up your guns" policy in the saloon with an exception for lawmen.

Do'noma, or Sight-of-the-Sun, is the seer and spiritual guide of her tribe. She is not too optimistic about those (relatively) new arrivals but has no interest in conflict if it can be avoided.

Victoria is the oddly young Madame of the local parlor house. The troublemakers generally steer clear, as people that give her, or especially her girls, trouble, are known to meet very unfortunate fates. Lots of the time, these fates involve things like parts of their body withering and falling off.

Daniel is a local bounty hunter, a rather rough character. He's not known to cause problems, and is generally known to solve them, but he still puts people on edge, and has a sort of 'don't screw with him' attitude. He generally doesn't check his weapons unless pressed, even in establishments that require it, though about half the time the proprietors count him as local law so that they can avoid risking annoying the scary bounty hunter.

Nick is Daniel's partner in crime justice. He's the nice one... relatively speaking. Damn good with pistols too, making up for his less destructive special abilities.

The Raven

Nobody's ever actually seen the vigilante most call simply "The Raven." People who come to town to start trouble just have an alarming tendency to turn up at the Sheriff's, bound and remembering nothing. The only calling card has been a single raven's feather tucked behind their ear.

Ciqala, or Little-One, is a mighty warrior of Do'nomas tribe. That is not to say he enjoys conflict. In fact, under his menacing reptilian visage is a total softie.

Kyra Raphel runs a ranch outside of town that she inherited from her father.

Rachel O'Brien is the maid of all work at Victoria's house of remarkably good repute.

Sheriff Gravis took over the position when his predecessor could no longer handle dealing with people who can shoot lasers out of their eyes (or his deputy's jokes).

Wanda is a dancer and saloon girl at the Cat's Tail and something of an attraction, or is it side-show, for the saloon. She's actually quite graceful despite her size. The fact that she's broken a couple of wayward hands while working has toned down even the grabbiest customers and the scuttlebutt is that if Wanda's working, best keep your hands to yourself where all the Cat's Tail girls are concerned.
