The Fading Night

[Robyn Delaney]

She scrutinized the house and then Haley for what seemed like a long time. "I believe so. What makes you doubt it?"

[Haley Crusek]

"The fact that it's here in this shitty place."

[Robyn Delaney]

"You should spend more time here. Not all of it is bad. Ask yourself though... is this house a place you feel safe?"

[Haley Crusek]

"The place I feel safest, actually," she said looking back at the house.

[Robyn Delaney]

"Then that would explain it's appearance. Really, it's nothing more than a representation, but meaning is very important here."

[Haley Crusek]

"What's your way home look like?"

[Robyn Delaney]

"You're looking at it. Home is wherever I am. One of the few good things I learned growing up."

[Haley Crusek]

"Really? You can just like...go back wherever?"

Haley regarded her curiously then looked back at her Grandmother's house.

"....I need to hang out with you more then. I've never been able to get out of this place without help before."

[Robyn Delaney]

"I'd be happy to help. This place isn't so bad once you learn how to deal with it."

[Haley Crusek]

"I'll have to find you on campus then," she resolved. "And then we'll take another field trip and figure out this place."

[Robyn Delaney]

"I don't look that much different in real life," she said. Then something occurred to her, "My name is Robyn by the way."

[Haley Crusek]

"Thanks for helping me, Robyn," she smiled

[Robyn Delaney]

"My pleasure," she said, making a sweeping bow with her hat. "Be careful now."

[Haley Crusek]

"I'll see you on campus soon," she smiled, turning to walk up the front steps and. Vanishing into the house.
