Time for a Talk

[Anika Sloan]

After visiting with Gemma, Anika begins to wander the guys dorm hall. Apparently she's looking for someone, but probably has no idea where they'd be, so she just looks for a seat and waits for the next person to come so she can ask questions.

[Trev Anderson]

Trev came walking by with a backpack slung over one shoulder, a phone in one hand, and earbuds in.

[Anika Sloan]

Anika pops up on her feet and strides over to him. "Yo!" She waves a hand in front of him.

[Trev Anderson]

Trev looked startled for a moment but smiled and pulled out the earbuds. "Hi. What's up?"

[Anika Sloan]

"Hey, I'm looking for some guy named Trev. You know him?"

[Trev Anderson]

"You found him," he smiled. "You...are you Gemma's sister?"

[Anika Sloan]

"Oh well isn't this a perfect coincidence. You know about me, I know about you, no need for silly pleasant introductions, right?" She smiles 'sweetly'. Honestly though, there's nothing sweet about her demeanor right now.

[Trev Anderson]

"...uh...excuse me?" he said, a bit confused, and clearly a bit nervous.

[Anika Sloan]

"Let's get something straight. If you have any funny ideas about my sister, I will find out. If you hurt her, I will find out. Anything you do that may potentially hurt or screw with her, I will find out. From what she told me, Iggy already had a talk with you. That's good. But let me give you a heads up." She steps forward, extremely close to him. "If a moment happens where I hear you've broken her heart, I will not hesitate to track you down and burn you from the inside out until you're nothing but ash to blow in the wind. Iggy can be a bitch, but trust me when I say that you'd rather deal with her than me." She straightens up a bit.

"Now...Gemma is a diamond in the rough. She deserves to be completely and utterly happy. If you can give that to her, you and I will get a long great. When I saw her she seemed very happy. So for now you're on my good side. Just don't screw it up, alright? She likes you. I don't want to meddle in things unless I have to. This being said, you've heard my warning. Kind of comes with the territory. Just had to get that established off the bat."

[Trev Anderson]

As cliche as it is to describe someone as a deer caught in the headlights, it would be awfully apt to describe Trev's current expression that way.

"I...um,..thanks?" Was all he managed to sputter out.

Oh my god what have you done, Trev?

[Anika Sloan]

"Seriously though, lighten up." She claps a hand on his shoulder. "Like I said, you're on my good side. Relax. I just had to get that out of the way."

[Trev Anderson]

Trev literally flinched as her hand came up.

"I...uh....shit...what was your...uh...name?"

[Anika Sloan]

"Holy shit dude, relax." She laughed a bit. "Anika. Wow, was this how you acted when Iggy talked to you?"

[Trev Anderson]

"I...don't know. Sorry. Are ...um. Just. This was a bit unusual?" he seemed to be asking himself the question almost. "Yeah. Unusual. Just..."

[Anika Sloan]

"Yeah well, better to get it out of the way than let it be a surprise later on, right? I'm a bit blunt. Not many people can handle that. The fact you're not trying to punch my face in or aren't fleeing peeing your pants means you've got balls. Makes me feel a bit better knowing you're dating her and not some douche."

[Trev Anderson]

"Well...good." he finally settled on. "I...I'm glad she thinks they're dates," he added sheepishly

[Anika Sloan]

"Just treat her right. That's all I ask. She's very precious to me."

[Trev Anderson]

"Of course I will. I'm..not an asshole," Trev said shifting his backpack on his shoulder and looking slightly less uncomfortable

[Anika Sloan]

"Good. That would be bad for you if you were. So what do you do, Trev?"

[Trev Anderson]

"Oh, you know...read. Play video games. Occasionally study. I play Dungeons & Dragons...that's actually how Gemma and I started talking. Sort of."

[Anika Sloan]

She waves a hand. "No no. None of that boring stuff. I'm talking about your powers, dude."

[Trev Anderson]

"Oh," Trev's face reddened a bit. "I have a sonic scream."

[Anika Sloan]

"Oh shit. That's gotta do some serious hurt." She trails off for a moment and then gets a smirk on her face. God only know what was going through her mind. "Sonic screams. What all can you do with it then? Like, just burst people's ear drums? Shatter glass? What level are we talking here?"

[Trev Anderson]

Trev regarded her smirk suspiciously. "....well....I can be several times louder than a jet engine taking off. I've fractured concrete. In theory I can fly...still kind of working on that. And I've got an .... Impressive vocal range. "

[Anika Sloan]

"Impressive." She says seriously, nodding. "Maybe you can keep up with Iggy eventually. That's be pretty neat, yeah?"

[Trev Anderson]

"I...haven't really met Ignata yet. I think a dragon would win though."

[Anika Sloan]

"I'm not talking about winning. She'll totally out-fly you any day. I mean just in general. And man...I hope I'm there to see your face when you meet her. She's bloody fantastic."

[Trev Anderson]

"I...think she likes me. So...um. Hopefully it's a good meeting," he scratched the back of his head nervously. "I definitely do want to meet her though...dragons are kind of awesome"

[Anika Sloan]

"Oh right, you're into that dragon fantasy stuff. That's not the only reason you like her, is it? She's a person too."

[Trev Anderson]

"What?! No!" he said defensively. "I like her because she's very sweet, and likes maps, and talked to me, and she's gorgeous."

[Anika Sloan]

"Just making sure." She says with a smirk. "You're not so bad, by the way. Just keep her happy. Anyway, I gotta get out of here and have a smoke. We cool?" Anika seems a bit more sure about Trev, and it probably shows. But that doesn't mean she's all flowers and sunshine either.

[Trev Anderson]

"Y...yeah. We're cool," he said probably primarily relieved to be getting out of this situation.

[Anika Sloan]

"Fantastic. Catch you later then. Don't screw up." She says with a smile, heading out while fishing out a cigarette.

[Trev Anderson]

Trev watched her walk away for a moment, still a bit shocked at what had just transpired.

What. The actual fuck. Was that? Do I wear a sign that says "crazy girls, or girls with psychotic families, come get me!"?

Trev shook his head and walked just a few more doors down the hallway, fished out his keys, and slipped into his room.
