Anika and Victoria's Room: Step One, Add Heat

Anika laid on her bed, cigarette already lit. There was no betrayal of her thoughts on her face what she thought about how well things just went. However, considering her completely frazzled hair, complete mess of the room, and the fact she had actually broke a bit of a sweat... Well she didn't need an expression to betray anything. That was more fun than I imagined it would be.

"Well, there's my cardio for the day," Daniel said, stretching and reaching for his own smokes. Not finding them where he'd left them, he glanced around until he spotted where they'd been knocked off the bedside table.

"Always important," she said with a sagenod, offering him one of her own in case he didn't feel like getting up. "So now is when I man up and ask for the trick to things being less boring around here, right?"

He didn't notice her offering, as he was leaning half off the bed to reach them, before he shoved himself up off the floor and thumped down onto the bed. "It's all in the people. And going to London a lot," he said. "Don't know why it's so quiet. It's like the world got sick of ending or something. Messed up."

She took a drag from her cigarette, tossing her pack back over to the endtable. "Can't say I've experienced the whole world ending thing first hand. Gotta be pretty interesting, yeah?" she asked curiously.

She raised a brow. "Must have been pretty tough shit. You're not out of shape nor do you seem incapable of things. That leads me to believe it was pretty intense." It wasn't a compliment; once again she was just saying it how it was.

Daniel smirked, holding up a glowing finger. Somewhere from her side of the bed, there was a sizzling sound. "Like that?"

"Yes. Yes exactly like that," she said, sounding a bit flustered. "I have to hand it to you, you seem to know exactly what you're talking about."

"I guess you'll just have to wait and find out," she said, hopping up and stepping over to one of her drawers. After some fishing around in what appears to be a lot of the same kinds of clothes (she really did go through a lot and had to stay prepared), she pulls out a bottle of whiskey. It wasn't that she was hiding the bottle; that's just where it ended up when she tossed her things wherever. On the dresser is a glass, which she uses for her whiskey. "So what is the best bar to go to around here? Obviously I've been doing a shit job at finding a good one."

Daniel watched her walk, forgetting for a moment to answer. "I don't know, have you tried that place where all the football goons hang out along the shore? The one with the reinforced door?"

"Doesn't sound too familiar. I've been to a couple regular ones downtown. Probably why I haven't found anything too interesting. It almost like playing with dogs. Their stupidity almost makes me feel bad sometimes. Almost." She sipped from the glass and let pit a happy sigh.
