Anika and Victoria's Room: Step One, Add Heat

[Anika Sloan]

"Would you ever really want to be a god, though?"

[Daniel Uriel]

"Nah. It looks like all the people that would follow you if you're a god are a bunch of assholes. So what's the point, really."

[Anika Sloan]

"Not only that, but I feel like it would be a serious pain in the ass to have to 'lord' over lazy idiots as well. Though I have to admit, it would probably be pretty amusing to make the assholes trip up and fall to pieces."

[Daniel Uriel]

He smirked. "I figured you'd know that firsthand."

[Anika Sloan]

"Well yes, but to do it as a god would be more fun, I think. Though...come to think of it there may not be much difference anyway. Who knows."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Not enough challenge when you don't have to work for it. Then again... I don't know that you do anyway," he said, smirking.

[Anika Sloan]

"Oh is that so? I guess you'll just have to find out sometime then, if you're that interested. Besides, I'm sure you have better things to do. Why else would you have come back to this place?" she said with her own smirk.

[Daniel Uriel]

He shrugged and smirked. "X-Girls keep it more lively?" he suggested.

[Anika Sloan]

She chuckled and finished with her own cigarette, doing the same as he did before and bringing it to ash. "So, Danny boy, what say you and I go out to the bars sometime. See what we can get into?"

[Daniel Uriel]

"Sounds good to me," he said. "Just gotta stay away from the cops. I don't know what the status of those warrants is."

[Anika Sloan]

"Well, I haven't come across any cops as of yet in my little outings. We'll see what happens."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Hey, I'm just putting it out there. Busting out of a jail gets people all riled up, then it's a whole 'thing.' Don't need the headache."

[Anika Sloan]

"Who said you would get caught? I mean, you have two legs if worse comes to worse."

[Daniel Uriel]

"All right. So cops come, we run like mad. Got it," he said, shrugging. "Have to see how that one works out..."

[Anika Sloan]

"We? I'm not the one with possible warrants. I have no real reason to run," she remarked.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Harboring a fugitive isn't enough? I mean, you could say you didn't know, but they kind of act first and question later when it's mutants," he pointed out. If anything, the whole prospect seemed to amuse him.

[Anika Sloan]

"'Harboring' is such a strong word. If this is considered harboring a fugitive, I think a number of people would have that charge lined up for them." She was amused as well. As they talked, she couldn't help but have a smirk on her face.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Oh, come on, you put it like that and it's like you aren't special," he joked, stretching out. "You need me to sneak out before your roommate comes in?"

[Anika Sloan]

Anika shook her head. "I don't think it'd be a big deal. Vic doesn't seem the type to give two shits."
