Night on the Town

Kara is sitting on the steps of the dorm building, texting Thomas.

[Thomas Nimbus]

Thomas received the text. He was on his way. He was in a hurry feeling like he was late.He ran around the corner of the build and yelled" I hope I'm not to late!"

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"Nah, relax! It's all good. Bus won't be at the station for another 5 minutes or so anyway." she says, glancing at the time on her phone as she gets up.

[Thomas Nimbus]

" Thank goodness!" He say with a sigh of relief. " So what we got planned for tonight? Maybe we could get into some trouble?"

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"There's a band playing at the Pig's Head tonight. Nothing huge, just some local cover band but that should be pretty good."

[Thomas Nimbus]

" I can't wait! Hope there are so hot single girls there." He says as his cheecks turn red. " Just hope I can keep my cool around them, pretty girls make me nervous." He quickly shut his mouth. Not thinking about Kara.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"You sure know how to flatter them." she smirks and nudges him with her elbow.

[Thomas Nimbus]

His face is still red. " I didn't mean anything by that I promise." He felt like he could just place his foot in his mouth. " I'm sure all the guys go for you" He felt like he was making it worse.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"I do alright." she smirks. "Now come on, before you dig yourself deeper.

One quick bus-ride later they're in Maldon and make their way to a pub that has loud music playing and a bunch of people hanging outside, smoking. "Sup dudes!" Kara gives the people outside a mock salute which is answered with eye-rolls and an amused snort or two as she heads for the door with Thomas in tow.

" I just want you to know that bus ride was awful, the guy next to me kept sneezing on me." He said as he was wiping himself off. As they got close to the bar he watch Kara do her motions with the people at the door.

"The price you pay for public transport. Well, aside from the actual price." she chuckles as they head inside. A band is setting up on a small stage while rock music is playing on the speakers. The place is moderately full already and the atmosphere seems to be generally good if fairly loud.

[Thomas Nimbus]

As Thomas enters the room he scans the area, he always looking for exits out of places. Just cause you never know what could go down. He looks over to kara. " First rounds on me, what's have?"

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"Thanks man. Let's go with some whiskey then."

[Thomas Nimbus]

Thomas walks over to the bar he raises his hand and tries to get the bartenders attention. The bar tender looks at thomas and turns around. " Excuse me can I get to whickey please." The bartender turns and shakes his head at thomas. He brings two shot glasses and a bottle of whiskey. Sets them on the bar and pours the drinks. The man mumbles what sounds like an amount for the drinks. Thomas pays him and walks back over to kara. " Here you go, maybe you should get the next ones. Bartender doesn't seem to like me much."

"Never heard that one before." she smirks. "But sure, I got next round." she goes on and takes a sip from her whiskey.
