[Molly Malcolm]

Molly nods, not looking too comforted by this.

Then she hiccups out of pure terror.

[Nailah Weaver]

"...do you need a hug?"

[Molly Malcolm]

"No, I would probably just bite you," Molly manages to say between hiccups.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Consider it a show of good faith then." she says, giving Molly a gentle hug.

[Molly Malcolm]

Molly sniffles and gently hugs Nailah back.

She smelled delicious but Molly didn't try to bite her.

It was the small victories.

[Nailah Weaver]

"See?" she smiles. "You can do this."

[Molly Malcolm]

"Right," Molly says with a nod, "Right."

"Thank you."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Don't worry about it. Though... we'll have to figure something out about your classes. We can't darken every classroom and it'd essentially be like trying to be up at night..."

[Molly Malcolm]

"Night classes?" Molly jokes weakly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I think we'd have a hard time convincing all the teachers to do that..." Nailah says, already dreading where this is heading.

[Molly Malcolm]

"Oh god, you don't mean..." Molly says, "Online courses?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not a fan, are you?" she sighs, seeing various futures collapse towards her inevitable doom. "I can at least teach you literature and English..." she offers, watching yet another future in which she has some evenings free crumble.

[Molly Malcolm]

"You shouldn't have to do that," Molly says.

[Nailah Weaver]

"I shouldn't have had to do a lot of things in my life. At least in this it's my choice." she smiles weakly.

[Molly Malcolm]

"Well, maybe I'll be able to go to Yale after all then," Molly says, smiling at Nailah.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Of course..." she says with a smile that almost seems sad.
