[Allison Rogers]

"Sounds good, smells better," she said, inhaling deeply from one of the packages before unwrapping it.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Plenty of napkins, too." She smirks, sitting down in the chair again and unwrapping her own.

[Allison Rogers]

"So how'd your suit get to you?" She asked before biting into her first one.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Sent a message to ASHLIE and she piloted it over."

[Allison Rogers]

"I guess I owe her another thank you then."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"You could talk to her now, if you really wanted."

[Allison Rogers]

Allison seemed to contemplate that for a minute, "Okay."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Simple enough to reach her," she says, pulling out her smartphone and dialing a videophone that's hooked into ASHLIE's systems.

She sets the phone down on Allison's bed.

[Allison Rogers]

"Hey, ASHLIE. Dee tells me you got her suit to her."

[ASHLIE]

An image pops up on the screen.



"Hello, Dr. Deirdre Quinn and Allison Rogers, Esquire. Yes I did."

[Allison Rogers]

"Just Allison is fine. And I wanted to say thank you."

[ASHLIE]

"You're welcome." she chirps cheerfully. "It was fun to fly over."

[Allison Rogers]

"After I get well, I want to track down the people who are after me and put a stop to it. Would you be willing to help me with that?"

[ASHLIE]

"Certainly. Would you require the results of the search to be compliant with local laws to be admissible as evidence?"

[Allison Rogers]

Allison looked at Dee.

[Deirdre Quinn]

"I'd say we're by the book for the moment."

[Allison Rogers]

"I'll make requests for the police report for tonight and say I'm looking to lodge a suit against the individuals involved. It should give us access to most of what the police know. Anything you can offer, Dee? I wasn't really processing things well at the time."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"There's got to be someone working at the restaurant who was bribed, at the very least."

[Allison Rogers]

"Employment records will be a pain to get into legally..." Allison mused. "Let's look at this from a different angle. My records should have an analysis of the poison they used on me. Why don't you see what you can find on where that stuff can be picked up. That might give us some clues."

[ASHLIE]

"I'll only utilize access rights I can get through X-Corp then. Though I could be of much more help if I didn't have to restrict myself."

[Allison Rogers]

"Let's see what we can find legally first. Then we'll determine where we need to go from there."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Basically it's a door that's nigh-impossible to close once you've opened it, ASHLIE."

[ASHLIE]

"Technically I'm not a legally recognized entity and you can't be held accountable for my actions. I answer only to the Starlight Citadel."

It would sound more sinister if it wasn't for the cheerful tone and dancing emoticons on the screen.

[Allison Rogers]

"You're acting as my agent for this though, so you're bound by the same rules I am." For now.

[ASHLIE]

"Okay."

"She was doing those in my helmet, too."

Dee chuckles.

[Allison Rogers]

"They're certainly cute."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"She's soaked up quite a bit of the internet."

[Allison Rogers]

"That could be dangerous."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"She hasn't attempted to Rick-Roll me yet."

[ASHLIE]

"I do not care for most of what the humans dump into the electronic sea." she says and if she had a better hang of intonations it might even sound like she's protesting a bit much.

[Allison Rogers]

"Neither do a lot of humans. And we keep putting it out there for some reason."
