"I...dunno. It...sort of looks like the bracelet that R...Professor Sackville gave me. He...well he and I traded bodies. Were you here for that? It...was weird. Long story. But we kinda became friends so he gave me this."

She said, leaving out a lot of details quite intentionally.

"How long can you stay here safely? You know...without winding up coming back to a dead body."

"Pretty much as long as you can survive without water. Possibly a little longer, since things seem to slow down a bit. Of course, there are probably all kinds of factors that I'm not aware of."

"Mum helped with this, but I've been experimenting on my own more over the summer. Unless something unusual happens, you're always connected to your body. The explanation for that gets a little too... metaphysical for my tastes though."

"Things out here only have the substance that someone gives them," she said, moving over to Haley. "Touch my cloak." If Haley did, she'd feel an intense wave of not-caring as if the cloak was purified apathy.

"Mum had me describe myself without using physical words. Sort of like describing who I am as a person. Then I took those things and used them to build my defenses. They've changed since then, but the exercise is probably still a good one." She stopped, "Considering that our bodies are currently in a sauna, we probably shouldn't spend too long here."

Haley closed her eyes again and almost immediately felt the warmth of the sauna. She moved closer to it and almost immediately she opened her eyes and found herself again seated in the sauna, drenched in sweat.

"Oh Jesus, this is an awful, awful room to be in after working out," she almost gasped.
