Allison had moved on to the equipment designed for those with super strength. She was currently in half-form, levelling thunderous punches into a punching bag. "I should go back to the Danger Room and punch out a rhino or two," she growled under her breath as she licked a fang and hammered a right hook into the bag.

Gar had spent his morning in the library and now it was time for some activity. He stopped short when he spotted Allison, his eyes narrowed as a low growl rose in his throat. "Safe place...safe place..." He rumbled and slowly relaxed as he breathed slowly and recognized the scent of the "Lady Lawyer". "Lady Lawyer." He said with a nod to her as he approached.

"Allison," she corrected, "Or Miss Rogers if you have to be formal." Her ears flicked, but she didn't actually look at him yet. "Settling in alright?"

"Allison Rogers." he nodded in acknowledgement. "Well enough for now." He moved and took a hold to the bag for her, holding it steady. "Some habits are harder to break then others."

Gar looked uncomfortable. "She's always had her gift. It made everyone protect her, love her. Even non-family members. Anyone who got close to her would and did do whatever it took to keep her happy. I wasn't around for the first few years, I saw the changes in people when she would toddle into a gathering, then I felt it but it was different somehow. Not as strong, maybe because she was older or maybe it's me. I feel protective but not...possessive. I know it may not seem that way to others, but the family... it's...a compulsion. She feels a need for them too...it was bad the first year out. She cried so much in her sleep, when she woke she was fine. Never wanted to go back, knew what would happen if we did."

"Yes and we'd even met a few on the road. They took kindly to her...were more likely to help out if she asked, but nothing like back home."

"That would be it. The closest I can say is, it's like a scent. She can direct it and actively...turn it off, but it's usually. She might be doing it for me though." He gave a shrug.

"If I did, I would not be having a conversation with a female of age in an middle of a work out." He smirked. "If you had gotten too close to her, to us, that first meeting, teeth may have been bared, perhaps a growled, "Step back" with claws out. I was...on alert but not dangerous."
