As the movie goes on, Maya...is trying her best. She's biting down on her lip and curling at her hair. She jumps at even the most obvious scares and closes her eyes several times.

Jennifer almost seems to spend more time watching Maya than actually watching the movie. Or rather, trying to get a glimpse of her thoughts, curious why she is so easily scared.

As far as Jennifer can tell, Maya's brain overreacts. It's like someone turned up her "fight-or-flight" at birth and now every little thing had the potential to set her off. And if something was trying to set her off? Then she got scared and paranoid.

"Oh my god!" Maya says after another jump scare. She grabs onto Jennifer's arm for support and holds her friend close.

"Do you need more pillows?" she chuckles faintly. Apparently watching the movie through the filter of Maya's thoughts is amusing her. It puts a bit of the excitement back into a movie she's seen before.

"Plus it's just cool. Dream murder. Awesome monsters are what make a movie like that great. And I bet Freddy Krueger isn't afraid of a damn thing. Cause that's who we are compared to regular people. Doesn't matter if we're evil or not, we're like monsters from a movie and we don't have to be scared of anything. Because we're the scary thing in the night or in peoples' dreams."
