No Skateboarding on the Sidewalk

[Gary Kelsey]

Gary was in front of the building doing the best he could with the campuses limited sidewalk space. He couldn't pick up much speed and there were only a few steps to go over so it wasn't very impressive. In front of the Admin building might be better but he figured that there someone was more likely to come out and yell at him.

[Elise Holdrust]

Elise had been practicing her flying for a bit, and things seemed to be going well. She had been able to pick up some great speed and control her movements well enough.

If you go faster I bet you'll break a record... Frankie said deviously.
No no! You're going to fast! We're gonna crash! Elise slow down! Wiggles countered.

The voices were getting to be too much between their bickering and her trying to concentrate. She squeezed her eyes shut...

Just in time to go barreling into Gary.

[Gary Kelsey]

"Whoa!"

Gary had noticed Elise coming and had tried to use his powers to avoid the crash but it was too late, he only lessened the impact, and only a little.

[Elise Holdrust]

She crashed into him and considering the force, they'd likely both be smacked to the sidewalk pretty hard. After a few seconds, she groaned, staying still on the sidewalk. "Owie..."

[Gary Kelsey]

Gary got up first, part thanks to his healing factor and part because this isn't anywhere near his first crash while skateboarding.

He started to yell at the person who had crashed into him since it was 'obviously their fault', but then noticed it was a cute girl.

"Uh... are you okay?"

[Elise Holdrust]

She sat up slowly, wincing and holding her arm close to her. "Oh man..." Unfortunately, Elise didn't have any healing abilities, so she was pretty beat up. Scrapes were apparent on her hands from trying to catch herself, and her knees scraped and bleeding. "Holy cow...I can't...decide if that was awesome...or if that really sucked." She said, trying to play it cool, but it was probably very obvious she wasn't as much of a trooper as she put herself off to be. She looked over to Gary and smiled sheepishly. "I think so. Are you? I'm really sorry...I should have been watching where I was going."

[Gary Kelsey]

"I'm fine, I've seen far worse." Gary had a few visible scrapes on his arm but they were already clotted.

Gary got to his feet then offered Elise help up.

[Elise Holdrust]

Elise accepts the help, standing slowly. "Thanks. Wow..." She says, looking over his scrapes that were healing. "Is that your power?"

[Gary Kelsey]

He looks at his arm "What, the healing? It is part of it but not my main power."

[Elise Holdrust]

"Oh neat! So it's like...a two in one thing? What's your main power?" She didn't seem to care about the pain anymore, as she was distracted by cool things like this.

[Gary Kelsey]

"I can give my self little boosts like this." Gary jumped up, the jump itself wasn't very high but just a bit after he started coming down quickly rose up about an extra foot in height.

"as for having the healing thing too...Its one of those... things... where two things work together. Like shooting fireballs from your hand wouldn't be useful if you burned your hand every time."

[Elise Holdrust]

"That's so neat! So like...they're only little boosts? Or could you like...go to the moon one day?"

[Gary Kelsey]

"I can do a bit more than that but nowhere near the moon. That's like half a million miles or something." Gary didn't know much about astronomy.

[Elise Holdrust]

"That's so stellar. Oh! My name is Elise. I'm sorry again, by the way. I'm still trying to get flying down. It's hard to focus when you're going so fast."

[Gary Kelsey]

"I'm Gary" He said, pointing to himself with his thumb.

"So, you can fly?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"Gary." She gave a nod, commiting the name to memory. "Yeah, totes! Kinda like with your healing, it's just a secondary thing. I've been getting better at it." She says with a big, proud smile. "I mean it's probably not obvious right now, but yeah." Awkward teenager is awkward.

[Gary Kelsey]

"So what is your main power?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"Oh! Um when I draw on my skin, or like...get a tattoo, I can make it become real. That's what my wings are. I have Frankie and Wiggles too. Wiggles is just temporary though until I can get her permanently." As if in answer, Frankie crawls around from her wrist area. "Yeah this is Frankie. And Wiggles..." She looks around. "Wiggles was around when I was flying, but I dunno where she went."

Probably got distracted, as always. You should get her a leash.

[Gary Kelsey]

"Cool". He said bending down to get a better look at Frankie.

[Elise Holdrust]

Frankie looked as real as a spider could. It picked at it's fangs, looking up at Gary with it's many eyes.

Is it actually that I'm being appreciated for once? This is a nice change.

"It's alright, but it kinda gets annoying. Frankie's kinda mean."

[Gary Kelsey]

"Mean?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"Well yeah. I mean he says a lot of mean things. Tries to get me to do stupid stuff so that I look like a total idiot. It works sometimes." She mutters.

[Gary Kelsey]

"Oh." He stands back up. "What is the other one, the ones that's not here?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"That's Wi-" And as if in answer, Wiggles comes bounding around a corner. It's a fox ((Though with more details)), and it looks...incredibly excited.

Elise can't help but giggle at Wiggles' enthusiasm. It was contagious, really.

Not being able to hear Wiggles, Gary seems somewhat confused as to why Elise is giggling.

"So that's it?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"Yeah that's Wiggles. She's the other one. Other than that, I could draw random things. I tried drawing a sword once. That was totes bad ass."

[Gary Kelsey]

"So does it only work if you draw on yourself, or does stuff like paper work?"

[Elise Holdrust]

"Only on myself. But it's still cool, cause I can use markers and stuff. Pens and all that. I keep a pen handy." She says, nod-nodding and tapping her pocket. "So skateboarding must be pretty stellar if you can use your power with it, yeah?"

[Gary Kelsey]

"Yeah, but there is nowhere much around here to skate and the danger room is shut down for some reason."

[Elise Holdrust]

"Is it really? Wow that sucks. Hm..." She thinks for a few minutes. "Downtown may work, but I mean...the whole power thing may not be a good idea unless you could do it discretely."

[Gary Kelsey]

"I'm not sure how people downtown would take it even if I don't use powers. I could do without shop owners trying to run me off, or worse yet cops."

[Elise Holdrust]

"I'm sure there's a skatepark somewhere." She says optimistically. "They're everywhere in New York. It keeps people from doing it on the sidewalks and rails."

[Gary Kelsey]

"There were a few in Cleveland too. London's probably got them but Maldon may be a bit small for one."

[Elise Holdrust]

She digs into her pocket, searching for her phone. "Well let's see!"

After a few moments of tap-tapping on her phone, she smiles wide. "There IS one!" Trots up to him and shows him her phone.

[Gary Kelsey]

"Looks kind of small, but I guess its better than nothing."

[Elise Holdrust]

"Better than the teachers getting mad." She says with a nod.
